Yes, we are definately paying teachers too much. I agree.

You can just see the point where the girl's mind is blown.

This is kind of how I felt after Aliens: Colonial Marines preorder and actual playthrough.

Lesson learned: a fool and his/her money are soon parted.

Never run with scissors?

Don't trust anyone.
Dark but very Stout.

Also I can't figure out if Mole Jr.s face at the end is one of confusion or mind blowing relational.

"Exercise caution in your business affairs; for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals; and everywhere life is full of heroism" - Desiderata.

...speaks for itself.

Erin's gonna need it for the swear jar.

Next life lesson is 10$ DLC?

In that first panel, for a minute, I thought it was Darth Vader giving the life lesson which was rather odd when it said "young grasshopper"

I love the commentary about preorders.

Seriously, though, deep. My heart broke a little.

Sublime brilliance. A valuable life lesson.

Never before have I ever seen such a adorable combination of confusion and sadness.

Very cute, especially the last panel, like the Darth Vader and Pac-man in the background too.

A solid life lesson. I had to learn this the hard way, although it doesnt look like the easy way is any easier.

Reminds me of a phrase that I haven't heard in donkey's years... 'Fleeced... like a wooly pully'!

Definitely relevant for this one...

Also, what game were they playing?

@Grey @Cory

Congrats! With this work of are you have proven yourselves to be masters of your craft. When you go to your fathers, in their mighty company you shall not feel ashamed.

Is it "A sucker is born every minute." by P.T. Barnum?

Or The Princess Bride's line: "Learn to deal with disappointment"?

"Life is unfair"?

Poor kid, still better to learn that lesson early with only $10 lost.

Copper Zen:

I think it's; "find out exactly what you are getting before you pay anyone anything".

Then again, it's really a life lesion that can be interpreted a number of ways.
"There is rarely just one "correct" answer to a question". Except in math, but "exceptions that prove the rules, blah blah blah."

Imp Emissary:

I think it's; "find out exactly what you are getting before you pay anyone anything".

Given the context of the lesson being given over video games your idea sounds right on the money.

Pardon the unintended pun, please. ;D

Now that's just cruel x)

All I wanna do is
UP UP DOWN DOWN LEFT RIGHT LEFT RIGHT
And A-B
and I take ya money!

Shinsei-J:

Dark but very Stout.

Those two qualities are actually the same thing.

I taught my nieces and nephews the same way. It is good to know the legacy of the scummy scam sage still stands strong.

Awwww, that kid is adorable!

I think the only life lesson she learned, is the way her anger little by little will built up inside her through the years, until her anger become an tiger and start killing people.

Looks like the kid didn't earn her meatball this round...

(That's a brilliant choice of game for this strip, by the way)

More like "don't trust anyone who offers the secret to x for money". You can trust people, just not those asking for money.

Some, some, some I some I sucker
some I some I let go!

Am now trapped listening to the whole album again. Thanks.

Critical Miss has made me see! I must overthrow the bourgeois imperialist dogs! viva la revolucion!

What's the tattoo on Erin's right back/shoulder?

And if I were that kid this lesson would have been learnt a long time ago...

Oh no! I'm not bitter about it or anything...

Miss Layton:
Awwww, that kid is adorable!

This is true, the last panel is adorbs /)^3^(\

Sometimes you have to be cruel to be kind.

Aww...Dibs on the last panel as my new avatar!!!!!
Isn't she a bit young to be giving bribes?

There are many ways to teach it, but the lesson is universal. Well played Miss Stout. Well played indeed...

Win! You guys have just been on fire recently.

BTW, never got around to saying it but I LOVE the new artstyle Cory.
