Well, you just summed up my entire emotional experience with the information with the new Thief so far. Nice work Yahtzee!

Edit: Derped spelling.

Jim's was actually brilliant this week, wow. The comments need to pick up the pace on this series.

Wow. Just Wow. If I had to pick a winner... I'd call it a draw this time.

(yeah yeah, I know it's not a competition, but let's be honest... it is.)

2 spectacular poems as always!

I will never grow tired of these.

Jim wins. No ifs ands or buts. Yahtzee's limerick was good, describing the tortured development of thief(4???). but jim's poem reminded me of this and i have to give it to him.

Can you guys have guests on the series? It's getting kinda stale...

I mean, I still enjoy it but it's getting predictable.

Oh yes, Animal Crossing's insane logic.
Tom Nook isn't trust worthy.
A raccoon dealing in lies and deceit.
He is nothing but a loan shark.
For a crook is certainly he.

Thief 2 also had tons of cut scenes.
Hasn't basically everybody made the tom nook is evil joke already?

I only played one Animal Crossing, but this was my estimation of Tom Nook.

Jim, that bowler and your slick rhymes made you the bell of the ball.

The upcoming Thief sequel/reboot/cash-in might just be the one game that breaks Yahtzee's spirit completely. Was feeling positive that Thief was coming back... until the details started leaking out and that's when my positivity went down faster than a Kardashian being promised a film career in exchange for sexual favors.

Great job, boys! Nice 5 O'clock shadow, Jim.

Ah not dealing with Nook's BS is a major reason I'm so looking forward to new leaf since the tables have turned, I'm the mayor and own the town this time. To Nook I say, "Who's the Boss NOW?!"

I'm going to have to disagree. "Small" and "fool" don't rhyme, and there were a couple others that were kind of a stretch but sounded similar because of the way he pronounced them. Some of the verses were a little long and clunky too. I realize Yahtzee's had a part that didn't rhyme either, but it was intentional, made a point, and was funny. It could also be that Jim's just didn't hold anything personal for me because I've never played Animal Crossing. It doesn't really sound like that much fun. I couldn't get into Harvest Moon either.

Okay, after Yahtzee's one I thought he'd "won" this one for sure, and then Jim matches it superbly.

Fantastic work this week, gents.

I think I preferred Yahtzee's better this week. Although, is it just me, or is the lip syncing a bit off for his?

But this was a poem. How many people have done poems?

Yahtzee nailed it. Exactly what i thought about the new Thief game it is a shame really.

Jim's poem, whether he realises it or not, is actually a witty commentary on the set-up of real life society.

This is why I don't trust raccoons, Jimbo.

I have to say it's really impressive to get commentary out in poetic form.

Also, I feel I really missed out on a great game with Animal Crossing.

EDIT: Oct 06, 2013

New Leaf's pretty damn cool.

Was going to post that exact link. That LP was a trip.

I need to figure out how to work "beloved of cunts" into my normal conversation.

It is a shame they fucked up Thief 4 Th4eth Thief.
I had no idea what Jim was talking about.

I don't understand how anyone can judge it so quickly, if there are not even ingame scenes revealed.
Even with some cutscenes and whatnot this game could still become great.
It's not like thay said: "Oh, wer're going to casualize the shit out of this game!"

I sat down to pass the time while
Some dude spoke of Thief with increasing bile
I realized with a grin
What had taken me in
Yahtzee'd been disguised by his smile.

Thank you Yahtzee for reminding me about the game formerly called Thief 4
I remember my enthusiasm for this game long before it hit the floor
I remember all the great directions and paths it could take
but now all I remember is the disappointment I feel in it's wake

Now it seems that all good stealth games are dead.
Splinter Cell, once a proud stealther, is now about spraying lead
Let's not forget Hitman, a game of an assassin and his tricks
Now about pre-scripted events, and questioning his own ethics
Or how about Assassin's Creed, once about using speed to remain concealed
Now about rushing an entire British legion in a big open field

It seems all the games I used to enjoy are gone
Maybe stealth as a whole simply won't live on
I really should just stop complaining, making these futile claims
Because at least stealth is not as dead as horror games

Nook is the best antagonist in gaming because you CAN'T fight him... he owns you.

Wow Jim. That was your best one yet!

Yahtzee hits it out of the park once more
In his scathing review of Thief 4
Yet Jim called out the real estate crook
That goes by the name of Tom Nook
Neither will be what you wish
So why don't you go catch some more fish?

I'm liking this series more and more.

I'm also trying to remain cautiously optimistic about Thief 4, at least until they show actual gameplay footage. The fact that the trailer was made up of sneaking and burglary and not sword fights and explosions was enough for me to give it a chance. And if it sucks, the fact that it's a "reboot" means it won't retroactively ruin the continuity of other games.

Jim wins this week. Also: who is Tom Nook?!

Shopkeeper in Animal Crossing.

have i mentioned before I really like this series. Well I certainly do. I do indeed.
