Escapist Podcast: 094: Double Fine Kickstarter & E3 Judge's Week

 Pages PREV 1 2

Without Susan the podcats just won't be the same. Message to new management, please keep the existing talents happy. We enjoy the Escapist because of these personalities, without them it just won't be the same. I don't want another top 5 show, I want my hour long podcat about cats and otters.

Galaxy613:
I really wished they took the time to look at the DFA kickstarter page, it's right here:

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/66710809/double-fine-adventure

They screwed up the facts so bad, they asked for $400k, NOT $1mill. There were no stretch goals, AT ALL.

You really don't have to be quite so hostile about it. We riff on subjects and don't always have the facts straight - the way such things happen in normal conversation. We always appreciate when listeners correct us after the fact, not only so that everyone knows the correct info, but also because it often helps us learn something.

But there's simply no cause for that kind of attitude.

Susan's leaving? Oh no. Everyone get ready for the Panda porncast.

You guys are insane, pistachio ice cream is AWESOME! If a pistachio-only ice cream place existed, I wouldn't even need to go anywhere else!

Really sad to see Susan go though, the podcat just won't be the same without her energetic personality and rather amusing rants. Whatever lies in store for you next Susan, I wish you the very best of luck in your future endeavors, and certainly hope to see you again somewhere in the vast expanse of the internets!

susan was kind of tying the team together and setting a tone. not to mention her being a very colorfull character. im not saying you cant do without her, but she contributes things appart from informative and insightfull perspectives to this team that made the podcast experience very enjoyable. susan, you will be missed dearly.

i so do hope you will find someone who can balance your podcast team, preferably another female member. Ma'idah Lashani was always fun to listen to if she was on the cast so if she wants i could picture her growing into that member.

Imma go cry now-Corgi! Corgis yay!!! ^_^ I want one. Right now.

There's probably no way for me to say this without sounding like an asshole, but I'm looking forward to future episodes of the podcast without Susan. No doubt she's a lovely person, I wish her all the best in whatever her future holds, and her enthusiasm for games definitely comes through in every episode, but she often tends to dominate the conversation, and I find myself wondering what someone else was going to say before they were interrupted. That's never an issue on the episodes she doesn't participate in.

Also, Paul puts up with way too much shit about his personal verbal ticks from a person who unironically uses the term, "cray cray."

Russ, Steeve, Mike, now Susan... The Podcat loses another shade of fabulous.

I don't give Paul shit for his verbal ticks.

And lucky you, you never have to hear from me again! Hooray!

This thread is so odd. There seems to be this weird mxiture of hostility for random things and then all the well-wishing to Susan. Ah, internet.

Susan, farewell and good luck on your adventures ahead. I know you don't owe us any explanation at all, but if it's not just the Escapist you're leaving but the industry as a whole (I don't know why I'm getting that vibe, perhaps your tone of voice) then that's too much of a hole for anyone to fill up. Just tell where you'll be next, and I'm sure a lot of people will go see your new work, wherever that may be.

Awww, very sad news. Best of luck Susan, you will be dearly missed.

I feel horrible saying this so late, but I couldn't watch the Podcat until now, so with a warm and heavy heart, goodbye Susan, and great luck with any future plans.

I just finished this one today, now I'm kind of bummed.

I've avoided getting a twitter account for so long, now it seems I can't avoid it any longer. You win, Susan, my first followee.
