Gone Gonzo Posts: 1256 Joined: 13 Jan 2007 | Yes, setting up the server for a LAN was quite a bitch, but we pulled it out in emergency within a few minutes, thanks to a relatively intuitive server launcher, and detailed posts of the QW forums. But all these efforts... for almost nothing, considering that we're buying the full game now. :) Ah damn, I read the maps docs, and there's just so tasty, with so much possibilities, it makes me want to get back on GTK Radiant so much! |

Shoot Club: The Quake Wars Wars, Part One
It takes no small amount of Googling, but I eventually figure it out. You have to actually exit the game to host a server. (Pretty tricky. Outside the game is the last place I would have thought to look.) Then there are some shenanigans with having to add command line parameters to the executable. I'm not sure what that means, but I figured it out by finding forum posts from people kind enough to address the issue as if they were talking to fourth graders. But wait, there's more.
