Interesting Days at the ESA

The loss of two of the ESA's largest members - who would soon have become its single largest member - will likely cause ripple effects with far-reaching and potentially damaging consequences to the organization and the industry at large. But in matters such as these, there are typically many more questions than answers, not least of which is why anyone should care about the ESA in the first place.

Great piece of journalism. I never cared much about the ESA, and you've made it pretty obvious that I should. Activision is certainly an industry juggernaut; I imagine, as you said, that many other companies will reevaluate their membership. We can only hope that they don't follow suit.

I'm curious as to why you would want the sole group representing we gamers in the political arena to die off.
