For example, one got everyone involved so that scrolling through the thread made a pleasant wave-like effect. |

....Why would we take advice from someone who's name is satanrules, and apparently doesn't understand the concept of "freedom of choice"? |

Paperboy Posts: 22 Joined: 12 Jun 2008 | Well, I laughed before I played the game. Now I am just crying after having played it. It really is a sad excuse for a game (should have known better having played the GC one) but what are you going to do? Demand that people hate it because you do? No, but you can always point them to a funny review. Thanks Yahtz! |

Haven't been here long? This place is a dictatorship, and better for it. |

I didn't know we had a king. I thought we were an autonomous collective. |

What, you mean there's no one exploiting the workers and perpetuating the social and economic differences of class through imperialist dogma? Well that's a shame. |
Copy Clerk Posts: 124 Joined: 25 Jan 2008 | It's increasingly alarming that the morphology of this thread is fueled by the sheer numbers of people with ADHD-like characteristics, but refuse to correct them as it most devloped cultues, Anti-social is in, along with being a chav or a 'wangsta'. In my opinion, the proposed hierarchy of these forums is an illusion. Sure, the mods can swing the banhammer any time they want, but since we believe this is a rudimentary dictatorship, we refuse to do anything about it. It's like this. Gamespot = Anarchy. Sweet and simple. The Escapist = Singapore. Did anyone get that analogy? I'm not sure, as many people refuse to pay attention to anything that matters these days. We are somewhat of an Autonomous Collective, as the moderators did have to join here first, if history (or wikipediar) is to be believed. Metaphorically, we are being exploited by them, and the forums are actually a dystopian state, with a seemingly pristine facade, interrupted by those who feel they should showcase their stupidity or those who mean to speak up, followed by a swift and satisfying *thunk*. If somehow we were able to govern ourselves here, maintaining order and cleanliness without corruption, great, but utopias are impossible. All forms of Marxism and the USSR proved this. Wingcommander up there may have had better luck if he didn't quote the quote pyramid up, but we'll never find out. |

Ah, that brings a joyful tear to the eye, it does. Maybe filing a decent complaint rather than doing the exact thing people are getting into trouble for would serve you better. It'd be like me protesting speeding tickets by speeding as much as possible, which would be pretty thick, wouldn't it. But then again, your apparent idea of fun is spamming a thread full of increasing concentric squares purely for the sake of doing so. No, I'll support the mods on this one, and not least because I'm probably going to get into trouble at some point for being a bitter, bitter man. I enjoyed the 'review' heartily, but I find the bland, cringing servitude of Yahtzee's supporters almost as irritating as the fanboyish whining. "Zing! You sure showed them! My, they shan't stop feeling the sting from that one and no less! May I suck parts of you now?" No, I feel a mutual respect is in order and I reckon the chap would appreciate a decent critical review rather than loads of very similar unimaginative replies of "Yeah! That was really really REALLY good!" or "I laughed at the bit where you swore loudly out of nowhere" and such. Or maybe it's just me. Fanboys are an easy target anyway. He should start having a go at well informed criticism instead, or a critique on those bloody smug mediocre women gamers who think they're great because they get attention from a historically sex starved demographic of males. That'd be a challenge for the bugger. |

Muckraker Posts: 314 Joined: 26 Feb 2008 | He most likely didn't do the mailbag for time, he probubly did it for the time constrants AND so that annoying fanboys can stop sending emails and posting for him saying his opinion. His reviews are not really reviews, more like his opinons (sorry for the repitition of "Opinion"), so if you don't agree great for you! But I and everyone else don't really care. |

Actually, it's a testament to how many people here feel the need to agree with everything he says. And how many of those people feel the need to nourish their incessant persecution complexes. |

Nah, this place is the far reaches of the Escapist. The Yahtzee forums: Here there be trolls. This website is so much better when everyone who plays up to get banned. It's a nice and shiney place. If you have a major problem with rules, take it to Gaia or 4chan. Thankyou. |

Anonymous Source Posts: 1 Joined: 16 Jul 2008 | You got way the hell off topic here. After telling us that you would answer some of the hate mail you've gathered since SSBB, then went on to tell us about how everything on the internet is shit, and finally ended with yet another console rundown. Try to keep your rage at anything that isn't the topic-along with your fetish for console rundowns-to a dull roar, please? |
Anonymous Source Posts: 6 Joined: 31 Jul 2005 | I realise this an old review but I can never pass up the opportunity to give my own 2 cents. As for the review itself, as always it made me giggle and I commend you for giving an objective Review (as always) so even if I wasn't as "entertained" as I usually am by your reviews I don't think I can really say "oh you just suck" or "Oh you just didn't play it enough" or even better "You just don't understaaaaand" since you didn't do anything DIFFERENT so I have no idea why people got their knickers in a twist over the whole thing. I like your reviews, despite not having enough cash to play even HALF the games you've reviewed on a student's salary, and let's just be honest, some-one who makes people physically injure themselves for not playing Psychonauts is alright in my book. That game needs more recognition, I don't care how old it is. So uhm.... kudos for speaking your mind I guess.. ..total yammering waste of your time this comment was really... ha ha.. 8D |
