Consoles are better. They're less expensive and easier to plug in. Also, controllers provide a better expierience.

My keyboard vs controller issues are dependent on how I learned to play the game first. Oblivion, I learned to play on the keyboard. It took me a good 2 hours to get used to the actual PS3 controller. The Sonic games I learned on the Genesis controllers. If you were to sit me down in front of one of the old games on a computer, I'd probably have issues.

This day in age, pretty much every game has been dumbed down, be it PC or Console. About the only games that HAVEN'T been dumbed down are table top games, such as Monopoly and Go Fish, and PC/Console classics that no one will *ever ever ever* touch or remake, such as Daggerfall and Landstalker, respectively.

Quite frankly, that's what I've been telling people my whole life; that being wary of things is good. And my outlook on life isn't bleak, either.
Also, I loved your mention of Gears 2. I'm sure Xbox fanboys will have a cow. ;)

Yahtzee's E3 rant was pretty much bang on but that video of Russ Pits and co afterwards made me want to spew up hot molten lava onto my own crotch.

oh and btw console video games are garbage there all the same thing crappy stories combined with boring FPS. I guess it's because i like challenging in depth complicated story-lines that make me think (cause i'm a big douche bag amirite?). Every good game thats been released for a console has been released for the PC with better graphics not to mention al the games i can just download and all the games you will never experience because you have clearly never bought a game for the PC.

Sorry, but Oblivion was a piss poor RPG. It was really just a action-adventure with some RPG stuff thrown in. Plus it was extremely dumbed down, hence part of what made it not longer a RPG.

Hey dude, I'm all for consoles, it's just that some games are better for PC and some are better for console.

And again, I liked Oblivion. I liked it a lot, but I don't think it's "light years" ahead of Morrowind or Daggerfall in anything except graphics.

ok i think E3 is like a candy shop of all the things i love and this year they filled my most loved candy's with dick flavored pops that if u tried to eat u would get a hair ball but there is some hope i did like fallout 3 because u can blow peoples heads off with a Teddy bear and FF13 coming out for the 360 is cool because sony can suck a left.

For some-one who just entered the super-shiny land of "The First World Country" after living in "Under the Rock Africa" her whole life the fact that all the games spoken about at E3 were sequels for games either never released or too expensive for any normal human being to buy really kinda screws me over 8|.
The fact that the gaming companies are so arrogant they EXPECT they're so worshipped every gamer in the world has played every game ever released by them and they're basically using that fact as a way to sell NEW games kinda makes me worry .____.

i love the resident evil script writers, every line is pure crap on a silver platter ^-^ the dialogue is so funny the games aren't even scary, although im not sure if they're supposed to be or not XD

A good friend of mine (creator of the Rated Aargh!! comic strip over at chud.com) introduced me to your website and what can I say - I'm hooked, I look forward to Wednesdays even more now and I can't wait to see the new stuff every week. Plus I have yet to be disappointed.

Anyway I just watched The E3 Trailer Park and let me just say - I am counting the seconds until your Gears of War 2 review (you should call them and get and advanced release-or just get me the number and I'll call them). You seem to be a fan of gow, if I remember from mention in previous installments. GOW carries with it a special place for me and the mrs because its actually how we met some really amazing friends - this year alone my wife and I rented a house for a week and got together with 10 xbl friends (that we met by only playing gow online). The house was out in the Outer Banks of NC and we had a solid week of gaming and beach fun bliss. This was actually the second year we'd done this, last year we had 3 awesome guys come down from PA to a different house but it was just fantastic. Then this year we had 10 people including some who flew from as far away as Ohio (10-12 hours of travel).

Anyway it was truly something special and I share only because I'm sure you can appreciate something like this. Plus I thought I'd give a shout out to let you know that I think you're doing a bang up job - keep up the good work.

That's exactly what I was saying about REZ 5. Capcom: "See, we are not racist, why we just put in a half naked mulatto women as a side kick to prove it." But that's not the best part, the best part is that you STILL CANNOT MOVE AND SHOOT AT THE SAME TIME! Good thing zombies have a habit of slowing to a crawl once they get within 5 feet of you.

As for the new Prince of Persia well c'mon now I think this game might actually be quite good and the art direction is kinda cool. Since you only kinda sorta love/hated the previous PoP games I have a feeling you will feel the same with the new installment.

Star Wars: Force Unleashed is essentially Star Wars meets God of War. There, I said it first! BTW, since when did a light-saber not cut through anything like a hot knife through butter?

Fallout 3? Too much emphasis on cinematic gorey head explosions. I mean WTF are we all 13 year olds? I can just hear the shareholders now..."I know, make people's heads explode when you shoot them. Oh the kids will love it, the more gore the better. Why I can smell the suitcase of money I'll make off this game already."

Really all I wanna play is Viva Pinata 2 and LittleBigPlanet...OK and Gears Of War 2 (oh the shame!).

Yeah, E3 was kind of a flop this year... Funny, though, more people see to be talking more about Nintendo then anything else, yet here, Yahtzee only briefly mentions Nintendo then going on to games for the PS3 and XBox 360.

I think there was a bit too much reference to other games then there was of the actual game's features... Though I must admit, Final Fantasy sucks from what I've seen.

I don't need to be a cynic because i'm easily pleased...i don't see that as a bad thing, it works for me cos i rarely ever waste my money...so haha cynics, enjoy thinking everythings shit!
