Zero Punctuation: Too Human

Wait a minute...Someone else actually played Eternal Darkness?

Have my children, Yahtzee.

someone needs to make sure dennis dyack sees this

I doubt Yahtzee is going out of his way to flip off a huge 'Screw You' to EA, but he sticks to his guns - if he doesn't like a gae, he tears it a new arsehole.

If he likes a game, well, he still tears it a new arsehole, but in a much more loving, tender way. But he doesn't bow down to peer pressure or criticism *cough*IGN*cough*.

OK folks, looks like the technical issues have been resolved. If you're still unable to view the video, try refreshing or closing your browser and re-opening. If you still can't view it, click on the help link and follow those instructions, or drop us a line.

Sorry again for the troubles this week. Rest assured, those responsible will be fed to ravenous sharks and/or pummeled.

Worked fine for me, using Google Chrome. For some reason I never really expected Too Human to be even a decent game. Everything about it looks terrible from cookie-cutter idea to overly artistic name, I would say that I've now been saved $70 by not having to buy it but I probably never would have bought it anyway.

When I first saw the length of the thing I thought: "10:35... you got to be kidding me" but they were not... after about half that time the review (which I find to be right on the money) had ended and I was plunged into the new warhammer trailer.

Now I know that their advertisement (among others) keeps the funds flowing, but I think it's getting slightly out of control here, with the amount of trailer-material etc. becoming longer than the thing I'm trying to watch.

I do give em that they put it in after whatever the hell you were watching, so I can atleast choose to skip it :P

Best one in months, although I have to admit I was hoping for spore

Also I had no problem playing it in firefox, took slightly longer to load thats all

Just for the record, this froze up on me in Firefox, and worked perfectly in Chrome.

I keep trying to rewatch the webcomic review. But I get MGS4 instead
O_O

so then I try watching the lego Indiana review in case the error is in more then one spot.
But firefox fails on me there
even when I restart it and whatever. I had this problem yesterday too when I was having my yahtzee withdrawal syndromes.

Mirokunite:
So what is next?

Spore?
Mercenaries 2?
World in Conflict?
Frontlines: Fuels of War?

I'm gonna guess Spore. It's the biggest of those games and would generate the most interest

I'm surprised this one wasn't spore. Didn't spore come out in Australia before America? And given the hype behind it, the DRM, and the number of people who found it disappointing, I came to the site this morning expecting it.

But maybe he didn't have time to play it and make a video... or maybe he liked it, I really don't know.

Yay. Some advertising executives are going to get fed to the sharks.

Although that would be cannibalism.

And he probably doesn't mean the adverts are the problem either.

Bugger.

Cool review. Always nice to hear someone else venting their spleen as it saves mine some work.
VB

I couldn't get it to play in Firefox, only worked in my ages-old IE, so there.

Sounds like I can stop worrying whether I'm missing out on something for not having bought Too Human, this brings me great contentment.

ok im going to sound like a noob
but what is chrome?
and is it free?
<33 freeeeeeeeee

I refuse to download FF for Yatzee only......at least right now, dunno if later.....

Was it really that good?

im too lazy to google chrome right now
even though the little google toolbar is hovering over my head
;p

Crome is Google's new Beta-Edition browser. Google it. Naturally.

But I'd stick with Firefox for now - most fluid and accessible brower I've ever used.

And why did people dislike the 'Baldur's Gait' pun? It's a goddamn pun! It's not supposed to be award-winning wit, it's designed to make you laugh, then groan. Like receiving cunnilingus from a clown.

fine

sigh

Chrome is google's new (and yes, free) browser.

My player mysteriously worked properly. Anyway

Remember people ''...the hammer is made out of wank''

*giggles*

When Silicon Knights first released this I was a bit saddened that their next game wasn't going to be an Eternal Darkness sequel, but I liked it so much I decided to be optimistic... despite all their taunting about an eventual ED sequel only to retract it again...

Development commentaries were so so then it was released... So now not is it only not that interesting, the story isn't great either. faaaantastic.

Spot on review, the baldur's gate reference amused me. All in all it's really just depressing...

(Also, Fire Fox 3 had no issue with the video)

Hmm, the Wankhammer. Sounds like an Erotic D&D weapon to me.

Awesome, loved it!

Finally got it to work and gotta say I loved it, especially the Balder's Gate bit.

i actually googled chrome

looks good
especially considering that they said they made the browser simple
looks like they're targeting the old people and stupids market group

(this probably includes me)

but considering that like the majority of internet users haven't even heard of firefox
idk what's going to happen.
unless google advertises it on their main search engine page

Great review as usual. Loved the submarine part wich is so true nowadays ....

question:
what's with the escapist handing out little badges?
I'm guessing they're depending on competitive people going
Oooooooooooo shiny
and posting more to get the little dinky item
(this includes me)

put your cursor over them, a message pops up and tells you what they are for. They're awarded for all sorts of things, number of comments, topics, friends, ect

back to been funny again, nice job Yahtzee. agree with the review too, that game is fooking awful.

I saw that, I'm just wondering why the escapist is making me all competitive and jealous of the matrix icons
