First Place: Unskippable 01 - Lost Planet

Tied for first place in this year's Escapist Film Festival, this is a new series from gaming comedians LoadingReadyRun. Focusing on the introductory scenes to video games new and old, Unskippable is the fun back to cinematics that take themselves too seriously.

"...and yet the armidillo" was by far my favorite line.

I sure as hell hope you guys are planning on doing some follow ups. That was awesome sauce and worthy of MST3K.

"I miss Bernie, he could have surrounded the hell out of that guy..."
"... and yet the Armadillo"
"This is no time to be a hero, that was half an hour ago"

If they make this a weekly feature, it would be on parr with ZP.

Wow I normally hate videos like this, but that was awesome. So many lines just made me crack up, hopefully this continues.

I second that.

Those lines were hilarious.

Bernie was a legend in his own right, he could surround anything, and everything.

I agree. They should have some sort of competition, and the winner could get a contract with the Escapist!

Oh, wait... :P

Very MST3K.

Nice :)

Finally, the escapist has found its second good comedy video after ZP. Does anyone else find that often when this sort of thing is attempted the person doing it has a voice that you can't help but find annoying? Finally some people who are not only funny, but actually sound funny.

Excellent concept, well executed, and easily repeatable.

IMO, the clear outright winner of the competition.

This is the kind of comedy that everyone tries, but so few actually do well. This was just several different kinds of awesome.

I want a t-shirt that says "...and yet, the armadillo."

Eagerly looking forward to the next installment!

Very funny, reminds me a lot of the "abridged series" running around the internet. Definitely first in my opinion.

You know if the armadillo was the size of an elephant, it would be pretty scary.

I got to see this yesterday, and I found it absolutely hilarious. I'm not surprised at all that it's one of the winners. Well deserved congrats!

Dear god, that is one of the funnyist things I've seen in a while.
Between this, Zero Punctuation, Arcadapocalips, De-Rez, and Unforgotten Realms, I'll have enough quotes to last me a life time. Or six.

"They returned to E.D.N. III to deploy more powerful acronyms." Hilarious.

Also, can you always name the guy who surronds people Bernie? Little inside joke never hurt nobody. Except Bernie.

I entered into that contest. I obviously didn't win but I can't be mad when I got beat by such bad asses.

Beautifully well done guys! This would be so easy to make into a regular feature with the right writers, and it appears that you've got them. Marvelous job; I think the tie is a crock; you held this one all your own.

I for one hope against hope that you follow through with this. You've got at least 23 die-hard fans right now (and considering the only thing I've found worth watching on the site is ZP, count that as high praise indeed). You actually pull off the MST3K mannerisms beautifully.

Side note:
To the guy that said, "The next question is...WhEre DO I send teh sugestons for news gamez??? When r u dooing Halo 3?!!!11?": L.B. Jeffries, wasn't it? Yeah. I hate you, your general vicinity, and all that your represent. If you're kidding, don't: we have no need of people encouraging incompetence and stupidity.

Good thing we didn't have to! What's better than one 1st place winner? Two 1st place winners! The very definition of a win-win.

I liked it. Never hurts to borrow from Mystery Science Theater 3000, but these imitators are actually pretty good at it :D

Hell yeah, LRR. Of course they won. It was vaguely unfair for them to enter.
