In the game itself, the fingering system has been greatly refined, allowing you to strum only the first note of a complex sequence and finger the remaining notes.

Is this referring to Hammer-ons/Pull-offs? Like the ones that have been in every Guitar Hero? Or to something new that I haven't heard of (in which case, I would like to know more)?

You forgot to mention that all of the World Tour instruments have been confirmed to be compatible with Rock Band 2, which releases on the Wii next week.

No, not particularly.

The hammer-on, pull off system is implemented far more extensively than in the past games. It also just feels tighter overall.
