Bloody hell, that were a long 'un. But seriously, I felt excluded as I am in high school, and don't know what surround sound is... that annoyed me. Apart from that, 'twer a good survey, and had some decent questions.

It was a pretty long survey. Kinda boring. But then again most surveys are.

I took the survey because I like you guys, but I doubt I'll don the badge of "Hey everyone, I participated in an online survey for the chance at great prizes!" I'll have to put it in the back of the badge-cue right between the blinking "Congratulations to me! I was the 100,000th vistor to a website" badge, and the "I qualified for a free Nintendo Wii***" badge.

I didn't participate for the badge OR the prizes, I simply know after taking Communication Research Methods, just how valuable surveys are. I hope you guys get plenty of participants for this survey.

What the hell I got kicked out because the survey was only open to English speaking countries.

I'm actually curious about why this is the case. It can't have anything to do with language I mean we all speak English here.

Too bad I'm outside of your zone of interest, but that note about supplying the email address reminded me that I must change the one I used for this site...
And I was very surprised to find that there's no option for changing my email anywhere in my profile settings! You can change your password on the aptly named "Change Password" page but that's it.

Am I stupid, blind? Both?
I hope someone can help me find the "Change Email" option or at least a tech help section of the forums which also eludes mine sight.

No SpinWhiz...WE appreciate YOU.

It was a long survey, though. I was waiting for the 'what size is your septic tank?' question.

Oh well.

You know, I had that question on there. Maybe that was the last question and they just didn't have room for it! lol

Would you be so kind to send a PM to Virgil for me about that? I'll bring it up as well.

Thanks!

Good survey can't wait to get my badge, but what bothered me is the De-rez is spelt De-rez not De-res! Besides that it was great :P

Was I the only one that found myself clicking all the boxes on the bit about "What do you like about The Escapist" part? Surely not, if I was I should get something special for loving you guys so much.

Yay a survey! (I like filling out surveys for some unknown reason)

I don't really want the badge, can I give it away to a charitable organization?

Unfortunately this opportunity is currently only open to English speaking countries. However, as a token of our appreciation, you will automatically be eligible for a special Participation Badge on The Escapist and WarCry for completing our survey.

What the f...

Edit: Yeah, that's it. Last time I'm filling in accurate information. From now on I live in the United Kingdom.

Ah, badge fiend that I am, I leapt upon the chance for a shiny new 'un. Plus, I just love doing surveys.

You're making me feel bad about characterizing your chosen profession as "below a sewer rat and above a personal injury attorney" in my thread from last night. Themis Media's earned my respect since the only email I ever get from you guys is the weekly newsletter I signed up for. No spam, no bull, no "special offers for products and services that may interest you", just tasty Escapistey goodness.

Just an FYI, I will be getting to the badges here, just hang tight and I'll try to get them out asap.

Ah, it's been fixed.

Excellent, I'll be filling this in.

EDIT: Will we be able to view the results, or will this just be a demographic study to see what audience you're catering to? Just a quo.

It's strange that "drama" isn't listed under the options for TV viewing.

And listing "foreign" as a movie genre is pretty offensive.

"Elitist" is also spelled wrong on the question "What one word best describes The Escapist?"

"Only available to English-speaking countries"? I will note that Ireland is an English-speaking country also - it's one of the two official languages, and we are right next to the United Kingdom.

Probably should have temporarily tossed away my nationality pedanticism and gone for the United Kingdom instead.

Never give in! I would have put Scotland, but "Oh no!" it's too technical!

Haha, so many competitions on the Escapist now get participants just by "If you enter, you get a badge!"

Just one problem: it wouldn't let me say I spent zero hours playing Internet games on my PC. Other than that, great.

I think most people here don't really expect them until like 5 or so AM, because that is when we usually get them.
1 question though, when will we know the results of this survey?

I like surveys, I don't know why but they are just fun to fill out for some reason.
