My Little Pony: Equestria Girls - Trailer

The ponies have quite the job ahead of them as they clop clop into another reality.

Watch Video

So its a movie and not a spin off series after all?

Oh God, Oh God... it's terrible!!!!
ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!!
...
...so, yeah, who else is gonna go see it?

I wouldn't be caught dead sitting in that theatre.

This is exactly what Lauren Faust didn't want to happen to the series.

You might want to change the tagline there. The word "clop" has been hijacked by the internet to mean something entirely different.

I think I'll wait for the reviews before judging. But judge I shall.

So...it's kind of weird that they're not human colored. It reminds me of Doug.

No none of that shame on you hasbro

Oh god, it looks even worse than before. I actually quite liked the last trailer but this one was cringe after cringeworthy moment. At-least Spike can talk, that's good to know.

Imagine... Some mother is going to take her 5 year old daughter to this movie, and is going to e disturbed by the fact that the theatre is packed with 20-35 year old men.

Nothing both bonds the fandom together and creates irreparable divides like a nice round of severe judgement - it's a bit of a paradox alright, but then again, Bronies aren't exactly known for our conventionality.

OT: This is actually the first trailer I've seen for this (with the exception of Sherclop's amazing parody: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hieeq0KxUFw ) and while it's not as horrible as I thought it could be - I had pretty low standards to be fair - I still won't go see it. I'm just not interested and I doubt it will even show where I live. Also, I don't have any younger female relatives to go see it with in order to hide my love of multicoloured ponies.......

clop clop into another reality.

Holy fuck! Brain bleach is needed ASAP!

Anyway this is stupid, this show should have died a while back.

then again, they're teenagers, and teenagers...well...

"discover" things.

I don't know why but that cracked me up. I can only imagine the face on that mother. She would probably have the same reaction people have in this http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=XpTi-GvXVjk#t=27s

I love PONY GIRLS!

I think some girls are in for a baaaaad wakeup call,
hehehe...

As someone who thought this was going to be a spin-off that was completely unrelated to the main series and wouldn't affect it in the least, while we would be getting a pony-based movie based off the main show. Instead, we're getting this... which cut season three in half and is very much not the movie that most people expected. I'm a little disappointed, but I hope that at least their original target audience can enjoy the movie.

Wait, THIS IS PLAYING THEATERS?!

Oh man... it's going to be REALLY awkward in those auditoriums...

Really guys? You couldn't resist this, could you? -_-

OT: I guess this is it folks. It was nice knowing you, shred of dignity.

That's even more cringe worthy than normal. Nope, not going to a movie theater to see it. I'll wait the usual 6 hours for it to be posted on the internet.

Archer666:
Hope the parents have fun sitting their little girls in a theatre full of basement-dwelling neckbeards who smell feintly of cheese.

It's not like i don't enjoy being stereotyped but i suspect some other people might not be too happy about it.

WTH Burn it with fire! MLP was fine how it was, why the need to turn it into a Bratz knock off? I guess the crappy redone toys my wife laughs at just aren't selling. So time to make a new line that can sell against the Bratz dolls.

Wow, I never expect the Escapist to post that trailer on here.

"Clopping" into another reality. I hope that was unintentional.

I don't think you meant to say what you just said. It's hilarious, though.

OT: Oh my. I don't keep up on pony-dom, but I don't think anyone could have seen this coming when the show started.

My thoughts exactly...

The plot issss sooo ridiculous. I can't help but laugh.

Now the people jacking off to MLP will get accused of being pedophiles instead of being into beastiality. That's all I could think of.

Hmm, no EternalNothingness in sight... I wonder what has happened to him? Actually, I don't want to wonder, it's too frightening.

As for the trailer, eh, I was never a fan of the horse show, and I have a low opinion of those Bratz shows, so I wasn't disappointed.

Thank you for that good sir. A day has been made.

This guy is! Kind of nervous about it, but my other friends wanted to go so we will be there on Sunday.

It can't possibly be THAT bad can it? Or at least I didn't mind the trailers...

Hey, I take offense to that. I, for one, really dislike cheese. (:

OT: I dunno, I'll give it a go. I mean, I watched the show to begin with, so I should at least give this a chance to surprise me.

DO! NOT! Speak of the Evil and he shall appear!

I can't stop laughing at this! Made my day.

I'm not going to lie, I fully intend to see this. Not because it looks good, mind you, but because I'd like to be able to say that I saw the thing and gave it a shot before I most likely end up bitching about it as much as I did the Wedding and Twilicorn.

This looks great. Anyone who doesn't think so needs to sit and think long and hard about the fandom as a whole. Remember when FIM first aired...would any of you have thought in 2010 you'd watch a My Little Pony show? No? Well shut up then!
Every major thing that has happened in the show has been met by frothingly angry fans like Death Company Space Marines, eager to rip and tear and rend and claim its all in defense of pony-kind. And then that major even passes and they calm down into purring kittens and make endless Changling/Princess Twilight memes and wonder how anyone(but not them, no! *shifty eyes*) could have doubted this show that has proven time and time again they know exactly what they're doing and what the fans want.

And you know what, even IF you don't like it, you don't have to see it. The show will continue and at best they'll add the Flash Defender guy as Twilight's colfriend for a few romancey episodes. And then Pinkie Pie will make a 'the cake it a lie' joke and everyone will piss themselves with laughter!

Meh, could be worse I guess.

Although all of the "fish out of water" gags have already been done pretty much to death by comic artists. My favorite's probably the one where Twi encounters hard core pornography. AKA Animal Planet.
