Steam sales: IGNORE THE SIREN CALL, LEST YOU DAMN THYSELF!

It's a shame I don't PC game.

Grey Carter:

(I inserted spaces to stop this post working)
Woah Grey, you borked the forum with your fancy foreign talk!

I've mostly survived the call so far with only the loss of a few pounds, but there's still a treacherous week to go.

We're GoG men damnit! ROW ONWARD!

I've been quite restrained this year actually, weighing up what I will actually get around to playing etc when making my purchase decisions.

He is no man to complete a task that demeaning. Even the Gods themselves would say "Oooo Tome Raider is 7".

To be honest though steam summer sales have been ruines to me. It wouldn't be too bad but im going on holiday soon and I need the money.

I more of an "any port in a storm" man, myself. (Woah, that works on, like, three whole levels.)

I enjoyed the rainbow horse there for the first ten min. ;D

Also, good joke. It is really hard to not get a game on sale if you like the game.

I haven't found it that hard to resist actually, mostly because I don't have much money to throw around even with the huge discounts.

So far, I had a total outcome of... ZERO! No really. I bought a DLC and a soundtrack from the money I got from those cards. And with the exception of one planned purchase (Baldur's Gate EE for 75% - I know it will come. I just don't know when), I won't spend anything, anyway.

Pretty much.

"No, lacktheknack. You have little money. You could use that money to buy a gift for your girlfri-"

Tomb Raider is now 75% off.

"SHE CAN HAVE A GIFT NEXT MONTH! [buys]"

And that is how Steam may have ruined my relationship. :P

That is one majestic beard, especially in the 2nd panel.

Fine work by Rachel.

And yeah, a few of my friends have been lured in by the Siren's call. Luckily since I sail alone on the SS Console most of the time, I have managed to avoid much of the wreckage.

It was on the first day of the sale I believe. Or at least it was very damn recently. But I'm sure it'll pop up either way. They always do those "most popular" sales on the last day, and I can't see why they wouldn't.

I do wish they would implement a proper multiplayer system though, it's a bit iffy and only uses direct ip, the orignal version we've always managed to keep stable, this is really hard to get a MP going and stay going.

Oh my god: Unlimited Space is on sale. Quick, untie me!

Is that a Ken Ashcorp "Rival" reference in the tagline?

Why don't you buy two copies of TR and gift one to your GF? Two birds with one stone and all that, and if you consider how much money you saved buying TR once, buying it twice will mean you saved twice as much! ;D

so far the only thing I got was Bionic Commando ReArmed for 2.50

If they drop skyrim+dlc to 25 or under I'll also get that

My crew and I have tied anchors to our ankles and leaped overboard. There is not a man or woman among us who have not spent at least $100. I myself have picked up twenty-five new games. And the sale continues to drag me deeper into the void...

Personally, most of the stuff I would want I already own.

No Man can avoid such classic humor.

I just loved the little smiley face on the Bioshock Infinite wall

Gaben tasks me. He tasks me and I shall have him!

So many fabulous bargains!

I was expecting to be shelling out but no games are grabbing me, a lot of games people have been praising or saying "it's not bad" aren't drawing me in.

The new tomb raider, the new hitman, dishonored and max pain 3 are all great offers but I have 0 interest in them. The game I want a big slash to happen to is Rogue legacy but it's only got a small cut on it, from 12 to 9.59 a 20% cut isn't a "OMG YES!" kind of cut.

When I get paid I will spend it on games, fuck thank you Gaben

Evil Smurf:

Also I liked the Greek, I can read/write/speak it you see. Oh Nuu! Double post!

So far Valve has only managed to siphon $20 away from me. Still plenty of time left though. My wallet is a nervous wreck.

Most of the games I'd want from the sale I already own. Others are tempting, even though I know I'll never have time to play them. I still want them.

This comic is 100% truth. So far I have only bought one game and that was as a gift >.>

Totally understand why everyone finds Steam sales so tempting, but i haven't been tempted because i simply don't have the money.

Picked up the entire Tomb Raider collection for less than 20 bucks...and TWD. It's like these sales get less and less interesting every year but I know it's because I own everything...lol

Also, would it be too much to ask for an ongoing Suchong series...because the last three comics were awesome and I need more...

If Skyrim was on a mega sale... dammit, why don't I have any money? T_T

Remember that part I said about having very little money? I meant "I'm basically in debt because I bought one discounted game".

;_____;

Was it your girlfriends birthday or something?

OT:

Bought a few things, Deus Ex: HR was 85% off, so I got it for a friend who had it on their wishlist. I also got Anno 2070, Star Drive and XCOM: Enemy Unknown.

Considering Dishonoured. Anyone have any recommendations?

Thankfully, no. I'm not quite THAT stupid.

Exactly what I thought too!
