I assume Yahtzee's is a reference to a game that has a story about a family line of adventures(or just game adventures in general) who all get killed in the same castle. Pretty good.

And Jim's......Was meant to be kind of disturbing in a funny way.
o_0 Well, it was funny. In a way....

Yahtzee was referencing roguelikes, hence the title. Jim was clearly off his meds. >.>

Stryker:
uh..
I don't get Jim's Message.

I'm going to have to penalise you for not being DVS Bastard.

Jim's twitch at the start was somehow oddly amusing and his rhyme was creative and hilarious in parts.

I wonder if the milk he drank was warm by the time he had to gulp it. I would be surprised if he only had to do one take.

Also, awesome Darksiders mask in the background.

Yahtzee's poem made me want to play that game... if I had the time :((

Jim's poem is just... I think disturbing is too weak to describe it.

Yeah, I can see how the descendents in Rogue Legacy might be questioning on whether or not they really should go on in the castle. Especially my line considering that I'm over 200+ descendents in now and New Game+ is probably going to triple that amount once I beat the final boss again. So yeah, that must be some radical devotion the family has to keep running into that place!

By the way, Jim's poem kind of scares me a bit...Granted, I supposed some of those things are innocent what with milk drinking and cheese eating and possibly using Miltank in your Pokemon party, but I really hope it doesn't expand out any further than that. And if it does, uh, good for the both of you?

bandit0802:
I think Yahtzee was referring to Dark Souls or something like that. Roguelikes. Hence "Legacy of Rogues".

Pretty sure Yahtzee was referring to Rogue Legacy.

If think Jim was working really hard over the last weeks and might nee... I mean deserves a bit of a holiday, maybe 1 week in the nature or a wellness resort.

Also the game referenced:

Jim: wait... how does Milktank have ANYTHING to do with Rogue Legacy? am I missing a connections here?

Yahtzee: Um... so it took you only little less than 20 generations to get to end game? or did you just quit playing after that?

SwimmingRock:
slightly disappointed there was no mention of Bailey Jay

what the hell does linetrap have to do with Jim's bestial love for a fictional pink cow?

in fact, what did that have to do with anything? goddammit jim

Jim. What the hell. This is not Podtoid, I wasn't ready for it. *sob*

Sure, laugh about Miltanks, but the one used by Whitney had me crying.

Fans of some of my other work will know I hold Bailey Jay in high esteem alongside Gianna Michaels and, of course, Miltank.

It's not so much the cow pokémon as the fact he brought up Gianna Michaels. On Podtoid, the Destructoid podcast, they were talking about porn once. Gianna Michaels and Bailey Jay were the two Jim mentioned. His co-host, Jonathan Holmes, didn't know who that was and Googled it after the show. It's come up several times since where Jonathan refers to her as "that lady with the penis you like so much." 'You' in that sentence being Jim, obviously.

EDIT: Ninja'ed by Jim Sterling himself. Possibly my happiest moment on the Escapist.

It's easy to forget that Jim is deranged.
Fortunately, Jim makes it easy to be reminded

Good poem Jim. On a completely unrelated note, I need to see a hamster about my e-stash

had to stop myself from spitting my dinner out in laughter when Jim started!

I got Jim Sterling to reply to my comment and all I had to do was mention Linetrap.

girl has an amazing collection of socks.

So Yahtzee comes from a long line of fearless adventurers? Brilliant poem.

Jim's was just grotesque. Also I'm pretty sure his hairline is receding.

Sadly, despite his flattery, Miltank Rolled Out on Jim's ass anyway.

After Jims poem, I can help but feel.. Slightly dirty? Not sure if its the right word, tainted? Help me out here guys?

...I think Jim just mentally scarred me...again -_-"

I'm worried about you Jim.

I think before too long you'll be reciting your poetry from a white padded cell.
Thank god for Haloperidol?

Good poem Jim but nothing beats your Ekans poem :P

Think I missed the point or reference behind Yahtzee's this time around. Annnnnd I think I need to speak to my therapist after Jim's. >.>

More specificly, the game Rogue Legacy.

Pretty fun game, but hard as nails.

I think I'm going to go with the "I think Jim likes milk" message of his poem.....

Ok just watched Yahtzee's poem, quite enjoyable and then... what's Jim talking about? Oh, oh dear what is this? What? Why is he drinking that? What's going on!?

I enjoyed this... and I'm not sure why.

My willpower is waning, if Rogue Legacy drops another 5% (currently 20% off on steam) I'll likely cave. Yahtzee's poem is not helping my resolve...

Yes, I knew the Rogue Legacy reference right off the bat.

The things we do to try to get our Miltanks to evolve.

SwimmingRock:
I am, however, slightly disappointed there was no mention of Bailey Jay after the Gianna Michaels reference.

To be fair, it would probably have been much harder to fit her in.

OT: Possibly the weirdest thing I've heard all week, but hilarious nonetheless. The images of Miltank definitely sold Jim's this week.

Thank god for Haloperidol?

Selfishly speaking, I'd be fine with that provided it was still filmed and released for viewing.

Uh...

J-jim? Are you ok?

Do we need to send someone to put you in the nice, warm, snuggly white jacket with the arms that pin to your back?

Broderick:
Pretty fun game, but hard as nails.

Agreed. I started in on it two days ago. I have spent more time choosing the next offspring than I have actually running around in the dungeon. It ain't easy.

I will say that when I chose a dislexic son, I appreciated that all of the text in the text boxes and menus was garbled. Genius. I got one that felt no pain, so my health bar did not indicate my damage level. Oh, and my hypocondriac exhaggerated all of the damage numbers I was dealt and received.

Furioso:
Having just completed Rogue Legacy, I thoroughly enjoyed Yahtzee's rhyme. Jim's rhyme on the other hand, made me laugh hysterically. I guess I liked Jim's more this time, but it really doesn't matter, both were great. I love this series.

How many generations of heroes did it take for you to do it? Can you find your previous characters' corpses where they died?

Jim's eyes. They are unblinking, staring into my soul. What do you want from me Jim? WHY ARE YOU TORMENTING ME IN MY MIND, JIM?!

Heh yeah, I do love the way they implemented all of the genetic traits into the game. I beat the game not too long ago, but man it took me forever to do so heh. After you beat the game there is new game plus mode, so you can enjoy more dungeoneering and dying, but with harder enemies!
