Grey Carter:
Evidently you're taking this about 100% more seriously than any rational person should, but I'm fascinated by the idea that knowingly making something sexist/racist somehow excuses the fact it's sexist/racist.

I'm wholly one-hundred-percent unapologetic about the good fortune of being able to buy a product that is tailored towards my demographic. So if it makes you feel better Mr. Carter, I don't see the point of all the moral hand-wringing that some people get up to in the face of self-righteous internet hatred either.

You they really need to do in order to 'win' is laugh these people off.

Obviously, because humans are short lived and have small brains, so they need to specialise.
A lot like insects, really.

Elves, on the other hand, are superior beings, and more than capable of doing everything better than everyone else.
In fact, an elf that's more than a couple of centuries old, who is less than sublime in anything at all, is quite possibly a retard.

So, the answer is, elfing and dwarfing.
Duh.

I hate to be that guy, but the developers clearly done this as a reference of any other classic fantasy beat 'em ups game we know.
-In Golden Axe we had the Drawf.
-In the Dungeons & Dragons games created by Capcom had the Drawf and Elf.

You get the idea.

Is it just me or did anyone else think the Dwarf was goint to bust (not a sorceress joke)out into a certain dance....

He's Dwarven and he knows it!

I don't get it. I haven't played the game but isn't the dwarf another warrior and the elf the typical... dunno... ranged warrior, or rogue?

Enlighten me. Why is it racist? Because it can't be the dwarf who is doing magic?

Dude, it's because the rest of the characters are identified by their profession, not their race.

Exactly.

They should be called The Archer and The Berserker. But instead they went racist.

Actually they went traditional. Old school arcade games had these distinctions, because they were base on early versions of Dungeons and Dragons. When they made the first DnD games, Gigax and friends had all human characters for a while because they never thought to apply races to the mix, so when they created elf and dwarf characters they'd apply the race to the profession and give them unique skills because it worked better in the system, rather than overhauling it to make it more diverse. The comic's just poking fun at how in their world it would be racist, but to call it racist here is ridiculous.

Good point. Has anyone addressed the horrifying racism in this game before now?

Dude, it's because the rest of the characters are identified by their profession, not their race.

So if they were called Archer and Barbarian this would all be ok?

It's fairly obvious the Dwarf stares directly into the souls of his enemies.

Dear god I'm captivated by the wiggling. It's hypnotic...

OT: Where were we something about racism against *checks comments* dwarves... and elves... Back to watching the wiggling.
