Works for me. I'm guessing your video player got corrupted or something. I'm not sure if those error messages belong to Windows Media or Quicktime or what. [Edit: A quick Google search reveals you're running something called Adobe FlowPlayer, which is one heck of a weird video player, I'm not surprised you're having difficulty running things. I recommend uninstalling it and getting one that's not so proprietary, like Windows Media Player or whatever works for your system.] [Edit Edit: Then again, it's not a problem with what you've installed at all. My thinking is Adobe FlowPlayer is what the website is using to distribute the video. Chances are you're encountering this error because The Escapist is currently being hit by a lot of traffic to view this video. Wait for awhile and try again.] |

First that bullshit 'Year In Review' which consisted entirely of 5 minutes of jokes taken out of context and now 'Awards for 2008'? I mean seriously? Yahtzee's recent works, with the exception of his Prince of Persia review, have been nothing but half-assed compilations which mean he doesn't have to do any proper work for that week. The way it appears on the album is indeed 'FACT' And I did state what my problem is with his current videos. They aren't game reviews. In fact his game reviews for the past 3 months or so have generally been of poor quality. But my biggest problem is his followers. they take his word as bond, and don't even bother to check out some of these games for themselves.

To be quite honest Im thrilled he didn't, cause it would be like saying - I love it cause everyone else does. And yes, Mirror's Edge was impressive to begin with; but come on! It's like looping the same bloody picture over and over.. No gears of war 2 review - makes me sad, as I thought the game was pretty good. Blood and lag - woopdidu. Let's just hope 09 has something more to offer than a new loop of sequals.. |

I wasn't defending the video, I was asking what was wrong with it. "Its not a review" isn't very critic, nor is "Its poor quality". Specifics as to what's wrong with it and them would be nice, like "I feel he's recycling his jokes too much" or "I find his style of humour boring now" rather than "I don't like it! Rubbish!"
I would like to apologize somewhat to FACT.50 though - its when I saw this post that the 9 years old comment came to mind. Verd, just because someone likes something, doesn't mean they have sexual favours from them - you might work like that, but thats not my business. Also, why is calling me gay considered an insult? You homophobic? Anyway, resorting to swear words on this forum is generally a sign you haven't been here long, or are under the drinking age by a large margin. Or both. |

Either that or ZP generates such a huge bandwidth hit that they decided to store the video content somewhere a bit too cheap. :-/ |
