Another great episode The first might have been somewhat funny, but for a series just getting its bearings, it's still a strong start
Meh. At least de-rez had two or three good ones to start with. This one didn't even have that. Though Sim City of the Dead does sound like a good idea.
Great series, this is my favorite one by far! I love the fact that they make their own little stories within whats happening. Like how he talked about his sandwich being in the case and then when the case fell he yelled "My Peanut butter and jelly noooooo!". Classic.
The trend of complete crap early leading to mediocre bits, to actually well done comedy after 4 minutes in continues. Seriously, the one penis joke was fine, but then you had to keep at it with 4 more reference. I'll continue to watch because:
Slight smile. You can do better.
This was kind of dull and unimaginative. Sorry.
When I watched the Eternal Sonata one, I couldn't stop laughing (very loudly). I loved it! It was probably the best narrative parody of video games in recent memory. Who cares about how long it was, it was really really funny. I couldn't wait for the next episode! Which could easily be concluded in a single word: meh. I liked the Tony Hawk joke (considering they are going to stop making TH games), the sandwich was silly, the sim city ref was great and so was the "Did you arrive via a helicopter?" But other than those lines, it wasn't that funny. I didn't like this episode very much. Also, the crotch jokes were not funny at all.
Obviously, you haven't seen their first episode before they were picked up by the escapist.
Love LRR. Love Unskippable. Love this episode. Love "Land? On a helipad?" Thank you, Graham and Paul.
I love this. "I got a tip something big was happening." "In my pants."
I didn't have a great Monday, but this made me feel better about it all. Smooth chests during the zombie apocalypse, indeed... Edit: And people, you don't think you're a wee bit harsh? Sheesh, God forbid a moment goes by without making you spew Coke... I kinda love that it's not as abrasive in the comedy department, but more subtle and... well, that just makes me laugh more. If that makes me wrong, I don't wanna be right!
Nope. I'm guessing they MST3K Movie Gear Solid 4, though. Link?
How is that guy wearing a hat underneath his ear-muffs? Or rather, how's he wearing his ear-muffs THROUGH his hat?? That episode was kinda funny, though I liked the first one better. Probably because the intro was a lot more awful than this one. ;)
Genius, Keep them coming
The dialogue in this one makes Strongbads Dangeresque seem sincere... Can you guys do lost planet next!? No, seriously, keep em coming. :D
lol sim city of the dead and you would think in a zombie apocalypse id have my shirt buttoned up all the way are the best lines
Actually, they only did the Lost Planet one... for the Escapist Film Festival
This cut-scene was certainly more bearable than the last one. And the jokes were funnier. Less hit and miss.
Oh. my. god. I could not stop laughing hahahahaha. LAND?! ON A HELIPAD?!
That would make a great T-shirt if you included both a helicopter and said pad.
Hahaha yes. The irony would make that shirt alone.
Ok, I'm tired so I should find this kind of comedy funnier that when I'm awake. Still seems to me like a slow, plodding, dull idea that has already been stretched to the limit.
I have spent years on this internet waiting for one such as you. Unfotunately, Unskippable is not this person. I only chuckled at the above 'paraphrased' line. The rest was forgetable.
Beat me to it.
| |
In the version I had he wasn't wearing a hat... Also, I preferred last week's, but this was still okay.
Enjoyed it but preferred last weeks episode. Also, wondering where I can get the theme if it's freely available for download. If it's already a song I'm sorry I don't recognise it, it iz 'cos I iz a nub :D
In this viewer's opinion, better than the Eternal Sonata one. And I want Simcity of the dead!
wasn't amazingly funny, but keep up the good work
Nicely done, a fw good one liners in there. Still, nothing has come close to beating "And yet, the armadillo..."
I am in love with this series ^^ Although it will never replace Zero Punctuation, which is a stupid thing to say, it's like saying that the car will replace the fridge! Sort of...
Make another character as memorable as Bernie, and this series would have gone full circle.
Hilarious as long as they can keep finding suitably long intro movies...
Not bad, but not as good as Eternal Sonata. It had a few good jokes, but a lot of it was just banter. I'll still be back next week.
I liked this one, but your Eternal Sonata one was better. Still good work though, and I love the destruction of bad dialogue. Especially "LAND? ON A HELIPAD?". I'm looking forward to next week's video. A question for the mods/technical guys: could the Lost Planet pilot episode be added to the archive with this one and Eternal Sonata's for easier finding later?
