Planetsides alot more fun when you have alot of players fighting over the same area, is there going to be scheduled battles as well as whatever happens? Also anyway for the 70 to get in contact with each other outside of the game or will the players just log into the game and join up with whoevers on?

Hey, I've been guesting to the Escapist for a while, mainly due to watch all the constant funny videos which pop up on the site. Though when i saw this topic i thought i'd actually create an account.
I'm an Ex-Planetside player, use to play it alot back in 05-07. Planetside is one of my all time fav games, but back when SOE dicided to cancel the PlanetSide Reserves the player population dropped so low the gameplay took quite a dive along with it. Planetside then followed to develop a fairly big problem relating to Textures, well more the lack of textures if any thing.
The majoruity of players would suddenly suffer from White/Missing textures causing alot of graphics problems, it was this along with the low population which lead myself and quite alot of others to quit playing.
I would love to start playing again, though i would want to know if SOE ever did actually fix the problem of White/Missing Textures? Since i wouldn't want to go through that hole 12 hour update download just to find it's still only a 'half working' game.
Any way Been thinking about re-playing for a while and i already have alot experiance with the game so would love to take part in this, though would like to know if the game is actually "fully working" now?

If I'm not mistaken you will just join team members that are already in-game.

Voice Comm has not been added, but we will be adding our own, which will be free to use. We are testing a couple different ones right now.

Spinwhiz: I'm actually working out those details with SOE at the moment, but yes, most likely I'll be able to get more keys for episodes of douchebaggery. Not to mention those people also will never be coming back to The Escapist, because their account will get smashed with my banhammer.
