That title is so clickbaity I cringed.

I remember a presentation Richard Wiseman did at (I think) one of the TAMs, in which he talks about tricks for magicians vs those for an audience. He did what looked to the audience like an unimpressive trick that moved the two of hearts around a deck that didn't even get applause, but did floor other magicians.

Oh, speaking of 'va-voom', I remember in the first season there was that lady magician that also used 'va-voom' (with the ropes). Do female magicians feel the need to play on 'va-voom' for extra interest?

I felt that Norman Ng's performance (just like the duo from last week with the rings) was way too short; I was left thinking 'Is that all?'
