| Wolfenstein Intro Trailer Released
Raven and id Software have released the CGI opening cinematic for the upcoming FPS Wolfenstein and as you might expect, there are Nazis.
The only surprise here is that aside from a brief appearance by B.J. Blazkowicz's glowing blue keychain, the video is entirely bereft of supernatural hijinks, just Nazis and guns and guys getting their heads slammed into doors. But the Wolfenstein franchise has never been about a "realistic" presentation of World War Two in the vein of Medal of Honor or Call of Duty so I think it's safe to assume that Blazkowicz isn't quite finished with his zombie escapades just yet.
There's not much to say about the video, except that it's just under three minutes long and can be seen at Game Trailers, so a quick history lesson instead: The Tirpitz was the sister ship of the infamous German battleship Bismarck and was originally intended to serve in the same role, as a commerce raider on the North Atlantic. But following the loss of the Bismarck to the Royal Navy, Hitler ordered the ship to port in German-occupied Norway, from which it never launched a major sortie. Its presence did, however, tie up major Allied naval resources, until after repeated attacks it was finally sunk by Royal Air Force Lancaster bombers in November 1944.
Wolfenstein is scheduled for release in July for the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

"Nein, nein!" |
| the video is entirely bereft of supernatural hijinks

This is what I said: The only surprise here is that aside from a brief appearance by B.J. Blazkowicz's glowing blue keychain, the video is entirely bereft of supernatural hijinks
This is why we read the whole post. |
| It was so awesome i downloaded it. If you don't get any of that in the actual game, i'll go up to raven software, call them naughty, and wave a finger at them, in true british fashion. No but seriously. Who is this guy? B.J. or jason bourne? **EDIT** I just realised. B.J., J.B.
hmmmm Surely this must mean something |
| Hmmm...meh...couldnt they get actual German voice actors to voice the german soldiers?
I know its not suppose to be something serious..but come on put some effort in it! |
| Somehow I foresee the actual game not being nearly as fluid or traversable as that video. Something to the effect of the part where he leaps off the upper deck and swings to the rear of the ship, going more like he idiotically makes three or four attempts to jump over the rail, then decides to take the stairs. |

"General ve aff oll begun to zpeek inglish. Vot shall ve do?"
The guy shouting "Spy! There's a spy on board!" sounded pretty english to me..
Back to the matter at hand: It looks pretty good. Hope the game lives up to that cinematic. |
| So thats how the tirpitz was sunk, all along i thought it had been the English Navy...Hmm the trailer looks movie worthy, though doesnt tell me a single thing of what it would be like to actually play the game. I liked the previous wolfenstein so lets hope this one is better. |
| Hehehe. I want to give this thing a whirl, mainly because I like killing Nazis, and spooky magic hijinks. |
| Well, I can already tell I'm not going to like this game... |
