I'd buy it, but I don't think I've a strong enough stomach.
Uh... no. Just no. I refuse. If there is a demo and it amazes me, then perhaps I shall change my opinion.
Watched the trailer on steam. It seemed as self serving as his movies. I thaught valve had content filters for this sort of thing.
Is he going to make a movie out of this? And if so, how can we stop it?
Sweet, Looks like a good game
.....Oh god no. | |
Sorry, but who would spend a tenner on this?
Hellooooooo, justification for piracy!
It burns us! IT BURNS US!!!
Its evil.......evil I tell you!
Believe it or not, the movie It's based on is quite good actually.Well not "GOOD" good, but pretty good.I mean it's no blockbuster, but fairly entertaining.I was pretty shocked when I found out that Dr.Boll directed it. EDIT:Well,ok it sucks. But you gotta respect Uwe Boll.He never has made any profit with his movies, he pretty much finances everything with some strange Tax-Scam he came up with and when you criticize him, he'll just challenge you to a boxing match. And he'll probably win.
Generally when Uwe Boll is happy about something, the rest of the world cries out in pain.
Is it possible to have a full review by the Escapist? (Are they willing enough)?
Well, its in Vietnam. So it has something good going for it. Not another WWII game. However, unless a demo is released, i'm not risking it.
NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! PLEASE!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
That and it looks like garbage.
TheoSamaritan did a review of it somewhere. Alot of crying was involved.
What..? | |
I've checked out Internet Movie Database for this movie, and it's actually gotten a wide range of reviews. A lot of the latest ones are positive, which may account for its 124% increase in popularity this week. Its gotten some flak for having Boll anywhere near it others for its historical inaccuracy and gratuitous violence. To be fair, almost all Hollywood historical war movies are like that so... I've also noted that a lot of people have commented favorably on the acting and...even the direction itself. But I haven't seen it, so I can't give a solid answer on this either way. It's still at 4.3/10 stars, his highest rated movie so far. But maybe we should consider maybe this is not a horrible movie before condemning. There I go again, playing Devil's Advocate.
It's not really a tax SCAM, its just a thing the German government came up with to help German movie makers. I can't remember the details, but I do remember that Uwe Boll is actually using it exactly as intended... Basically the thing means that no matter how bad his movies are, neither Uwe Boll or his investors will lose money... Ever.
tunnel rats has already been made, the game was made after it read the damn post
*vomits* *shudders* *plays*
no....why...~falls to knees crying~..why can't he just stop...WHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!! any way drama over with on a prevoius topic i did say... ''it may be good........................maybe'' ..>.>..
Well, talk about a 'tunnel shooter!' *is booed off the stage* Honestly, it doesn't look that good. Even the text they throw up on the screen is terribly written. I didn't even know you could make trailer text bad.
i dont know if it was the youtube video quality or the actual graphics but it looks like a PS2 game. First impression it looks very generic FPS based in the Nam...eh might be worth a rental?
As bad as most of his movies are (at least, the ones I've seen), it's funny how most of the comments here are negative, even without having played the game. Here's an idea - when you actually play the game and play it without the baggage of hating Uwe Boll, come back and give us an opinion. Preferably with fact. That said, if a demo comes out I'll play. And if I like it I'll buy - regardless of who made it.
Yeah, I remember it being all around the news around here.I thought it was pretty cool back then, but it would have been nice if anything good actually came from it once.
No. NO. NO NO NO NO NO! | |
Are you serious. Boll just needs to be stopped, or else he's going to end the world.
As curious as I may be...I can't shake the thought that things with "Uwe Boll" written on them just aren't worth it.
He's making a Ninja Gaiden movie too. saw the trailer today. i mean REALLY?? when does he stop ffs!
I heard his Postal movie was rather entertaining in an over-the-top, South Park sort of way. Which, since it's Postal, was the whole point. So it's possible the guy can actually produce half-decent schlockbusters given the right jumping-off point. Frankly I'm holding out more hope for the movie than the game. When was the last time anyone managed to produce an incredible video game on their first try? Much less a video game based on a movie? Throw Uwe Boll into the mix and you see what we optimists are up against.
It looks like a total piece of crap. Like Call of Duty and a bad game mixed together
So, its a movie adaptation game...made by Uwe Boll...and the team behind Velvet Assassin.... this could very well be the worst game ever made. So of course, its a PC exclusive.

Uwe Boll's Game Now Available
Tunnel Rats, a game based on Uwe Boll's new movie of the same name and produced by the notorious director himself, is now available. Are you a bad enough dude to see if it's as awful as his movies?
Uwe Boll, most famous for adapting games into bad movies, is now apparently doing the opposite too. Tunnel Rats, a new game developed by Velvet Assassin makers Replay Studios, is a videogame adaptation of Boll's new film about the Vietnam War, 1968 Tunnel Rats.
Boll himself didn't just play an advisory role on the game, but had a direct role in its development. "I controlled the production, and I'm happy with the game," he told Eurogamer last September.
According to the game's product description, Tunnel Rats is "a dark and intense single-player shooter...that depicts the horrific realities of the Vietnam War as seen through the eyes of a young US soldier." True to its name, the game finds you exploring a maze of tunnels that is riddled with "the most nasty traps ever built." As you progress through the game and experience "the dark horror of war," your character relates a "dark inner monologue and growing loss of grid," whatever the hell that means.
So, is Uwe Boll any better at making games out of movies than he is at making movies out of games? $20 spent on Steam will get you the answer to that question. Check out the trailer here.
