All four movies, all four seasons. And now they're coming back! I cannot WAIT for the new episodes. |

And although watching Zoidberg cut off Fry's arm like 200 times Is funny, It is starting to get boring so Im more than happy they're making more Episodes |

Probably not though :( |

But I think they'll know when to call it quits, and will do it in style. Which I think Green Yonder was supposed to do, but whatever. More Futurama= Lower Suicide Rates Worldwide. |

The last episode I saw of the simpsons was the one where the guy screams, "They cancelled Futurama" and is about to jump when the old man of the mountain collapses. |

But I really think Futurama has a lot more stories they can tell. By virtue of how ridiculous the show is and that they can travel to as many other planets as they like. |

I know which one you're talking about; where Mr. Burns gets crushed by a rockslide, escapes, and monopolizes the media? Good times. I personally like Bender's cameo in "Future-Drama". "ALL RIGHT! You guys are my new best friends!" |

Paperboy Posts: 27 Joined: 6 Feb 2009 | Man, I was just about to give up on Futurama after their last movie came out. Nice to know there are some execs out there that can recognize a good series when they see one. Take that Box Network! |
Gone Gonzo Posts: 3138 Joined: 8 Jun 2009 | YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSS!!! Futurama is awesome! I thought they were giving up after the films! P.S. Anyone know when they're coming out in England? |
Paperboy Posts: 43 Joined: 4 Dec 2008 | The last episode of the series one was of the best episodes I've seen of any tv series ever. It was a great way to end the show, but I'm happy to hear it's coming back though.

Anonymous Source Posts: 2 Joined: 10 Jun 2009 | The biggest problem I see with the show coming back, is that it can no longer relate to current events... I mean Fry is from 2000, not 2010, so they can't play off of all the recent events like the Simpsons or Family Guy can. Hell, I remember watching the rerun of the Lucy bots and thinking.. "Lucy Liu.. damn I haven't seen her in the spotlight for a long time". Or even watching the Star Trek episode, now with the new Star Trek movie out. I love Futurama, but it seems like the plot has kind of limited its ability to relate to today's 'now' |

Futurama Returns with 26 New Episodes
Once-dead sci-fi animated comedy series Futurama is being resurrected on Comedy Central with 26 brand-new episodes on the slate.
Fry and gang have followed in the footsteps of Family Guy and escaped from the realms of the television dead to live again, thanks to Comedy Central. The show will begin airing again on the cable network next year, with 26 brand new episodes on the slate for production.
Like Family Guy, strong DVD sales and the popularity of reruns enticed Comedy Central to bring the Matt Groening-created show, which follows the misadventures of a modern day misfit who finds himself in quirky company in the distant future, back to the airwaves.
"When we brought back Family Guy several years ago, everyone said that it was a once in a lifetime thing - that canceled series stay canceled and cannot be revived," Fox TV chairmen Gary Newman and Dana Walden said in a statement. "But Futurama was another series that fans simply demanded we bring back, and we couldn't have been happier when Matt and David agreed that there were many more stories yet to tell."
Family Guy has enjoyed more success in its life after death then it did before it was canceled, so maybe Fox and Comedy Central are banking on Futurama to find a bigger audience this time around? That might be a bit of a long shot since Futurama's comedic appeal not being nearly as broad as Family Guy's, but whatever - the show is back, and that's plenty for people to be happy about.
"We're thrilled Futurama is coming back," said Matt Groening. "We now have only 25,766 episodes to make before we catch up with Bender and Fry in the year 3000."
The more Dr. Zoidberg, the better.
