Spiotto's creation is right at home on the list that also includes digital hotties like Anya Stroud from Gears of War 2, Zoey of Left 4 Dead fame, Chun-Li and Lola Del Rio, the lollipop girl from Grand Theft Auto IV. But what exactly is involved in putting together a videogame character who's so well put-together?
"I was given a brief description of the character, her traits, role in the game, and a bit about her personality," the artist wrote on his blog. "Then I sat down and cranked out a bunch of ideas in rough sketches. The art director and I would then sift through the pages of sketches, picking out what we liked about certain ideas, shelving the ones that didn't quite work."
Eventually they settled on three concepts that "felt right" for the character and Spiotto moved on to hairstyles. Once that was finished, "modeling packets" were assembled so the character could be modeled in 3-D, with texture details included to ensure the texture artist could accurately recreate the materials in Kendra's uniform. Kendra's face was provided by actress Tonantzin Carmelo, who also suited up for motion capture duties.
The end result was perhaps a little more heavily bump-mapped than Spiotto's original vision, but who am I to argue with success? Have a look at the whole thing right here.

No its a mens magazine, the Brit edition has breast the american edition just lingerie. I guess you could call it porn for underaged kids? It used to be a very good magazine but i havent read a single one of those since i got out of highschool.
Maxim isn't porn. And it isn't that hard to create a video game "babe" in my opinion, its pretty obvious what most guys look for physically and they just create little niche staples for each one. (blond hair here, brunette there, tattoos here, belly shirt there, etc) small variations of otherwise the same woman.
I'd have to say the "best tough, believeable female character" award goes to a toss-up between Zoey from Left 4 Dead and Alyx from Half-Life 2. Hm...does that mean VALVe knows how women operate?

Kendra Daniels... hot? No fecking way, she's the first female character I've wanted to seen ripped to pieces by the aliens (the 2nd is that woman from the film of 'The Mist', you know the one I mean).

You can't blame them for that. I mean, they want to create "sexual tension" and show that their girl is "witty/independent/strong of character". Then they let you put her in a french maid costume as a prize for beating the game.

It's basically porn for cowards. But either way, they seem to do this every now and then (not just Maxim, but other magazines and sites) where they cater to the 'geek audience' and do a videogame-babes type poll or list, this isn't actually the first.
