I'd kill to have one of those. Hell it'd beat having to bubble wrap the shit out of my 360 whenever I'm travelling to toronto.
I'd love to have one. | |
That is so awesome. I wish I was as talented as this guy! He must get quite a few bucks for making some of those and selling them off. Thats what probably keeps him making more and more neat little contraptions like these.
I want to buy one. Anyone know where...?
In a few years, if approved to market, I will so want to have one of these =o
Can it still red ring? Just curious
I'd totally go for one, but that thing is loooud... even so, it's entirely amazing and some great work :D
Two words. | |
It can but it looks well ventilated so not likely. Edit - Forgot to mention its awesome!
I'm constantly amazed at the modding community and what they can do to things. I wish I had the talent. Nice work, Ben.
I think that pretty much covers it.
if I was as good at moding as he was, I would have mad it even bigger, because that thing is not really useful for popping out in a airport because you NEED to play some gears2, and I would gladly sacrifice portability for screen size with something as nice as this.
I wonder how long it runs before it melts.
Wish I could buy one. | |
That's not modding. That's something even God himself would call his own.
Heck and Jesus argue. Jesus: "I can walk on water." Heck: "And I can make this." *shows 360 laptop* Jesus: ".... You win."
Man that thing is as loud as it is awesome, i likey.
How much? | |
I wonder how much time and money this guy spends on this stuff? It's still the most awesome "mod" I've ever seen of anything.
Two words: Freakin' Sweet! You'd think Microsoft would hire this guy, those things would sell like hotcakes.
This was done years ago. It was in Pc gamer and everything.
Why this guy hasn't been hired by Microsoft (if he has my bad) i'll never know.
Coolest thing ever! It's like a sega nomad for the current generation.
awesomely delicious must get one....
Brilliant. A portable Xbox 360. I'll give you £30....no wait £40.
I remember something similar to that; however, that was more of a rough "look what I can do" kind of thing. This guy built what appears to be a fully workable, possibly mass-marketable piece of hardware. It's a bit more significant.
I actually don't like it xD
Now that's just bitchin.
Why waste your time making a laptop for a horrible console when you could make a laptop PS3? Also, I'm going to laugh when this red rings.
why don't Sony and Microsoft hire these guys ill never know?
He said it was an Xbox 360 with a Jasper chipset, so it should be far less prone to overheating than the launch models. Plus that looks like it can breathe really well.
Dude, stick a lid on it and take it else where, for the love of god. On topic, frakking sweet.

Modder Creates New Xbox 360 Laptop
Veteran modder Ben Heck has just finished the latest version of his Xbox 360 portable.
It's fair to say that Ben Heckendorn, known better simply as Ben Heck, is a very gifted modder. In fact, it's probably not far from the truth to say that he's a master at taking consoles and making them smaller than they were. This time round, he's revisited his Xbox 360 Laptop and made some improvements, stuffing the console and a monitor into a case about the same size as a laptop, albeit a pretty large one.
There's not a lot to say about this one, as it's all up there in the video. Enjoy!
