wooo GWAR \o/ | |
San Diego? Over 21? Why do they hate me?! But yea, looks like a good night for whoever gets to go. \m/
God, I hate living in Maryland more than ever now!
seems lame. | |
3 Inches of Blood are cool I guess.
oh yes, GWAR Concert; I never saw so many white T-Shirts....
WHY, WHYYYYYY!?!?!? why must that for which i crave most take place EXACTLY on my birthday, when i cant get there!!! WHYYYY!?!?! *sobs like hell*
"Hey Mark, you love GWAR! Why don't you join the band!"
It only seems worth attending if Tim Schafer/Jack Black do turn up.
Damn they're pulling out the stops for this game. Can you say "Brutal Legend sells one million copies in first month?"
Awesome. I saw GWAR a few months ago - they put on a hell of a show. Too bad it's on the other side of the country...
Because it's funnier this way.
BLAR!!!! Blast, I can't go, I don't have the kind of disposable income to go see a concert on the fly. Also I want to see a track list for Brutal Legend some time soon, as much of the games appeal will lie in the awesomeness of the songs.
I bet, right here and now, 100 freaking dollars, that Jack The God Damn Black is there, and he sings 'The Metal'. If he doesn't, I will have lost more than a bet... I will have lost my faith...
That's actually a lot more hassle than it looks.
ARGH, I wish I wasn't going to comic con now. Who wants to stumble around booths when there's a concert that needs love?
Why don't things happen in chicago. D:
I feel your pain, I'm in San Diego and I still won't be able to get to that show.
a really awesome GWAR show and i'm fresh out of white suits to wear :| sounds like it would be an awesome show tho, 3 inches of blood are pretty good live
I can't wait to hear the new CD. if it is as bad ass as the last two I am going to be quite impressed.
That game looks crasy good and fun. Kudos to vice
there for future use Ü,Ä,Ö and ü,ö,ä; Hope that helps!
Bang Your Head at the Brutal Legend Metal Meltdown
Costumed shock-rockers Gwar are set to headline the Brutal Legend Metal Meltdown, a free taking place in San Diego on July 23.
Hosted by Vice Magazine and EA, the game-inspired concert will also feature Canadian thrashers 3 Inches of Blood, all-girl band Unholy Pink and a DJ set by former Black Flag and Circle Jerks frontman Keith Morris. Even cooler, the show is free, the only downside being that in order to get in you have to sign up and then be selected for admittance, and you have to be over 21.
A few sites have mentioned the possibility that Jack Black could show up to the event, either as part of Tenacious D or simply as the star of Brutal Legend, or that Tim Schafer himself could put in an appearance. There's been absolutely no indication whatsoever that this will happen but since the show just happens to be taking place on the opening night of Comic Con, who knows? Anything's possible.
The Brutal Legend Metal Meltdown will take place at 4th and B in San Diego on July 23. Metal Meltdown and Comic Con - Two great reasons to visit the city. What more could you ask for?
