That was... interesting. I will never see anime the same way again
This is very promising. I loved the in-game ad from vanilla GTAIV.
"I didn't order anime whore" I may not be into GTA but I love these parody trailers.
Yeah, that's a pretty good portrayal of anything not on before midnight. All the daytime stuff is this without the obvious fan service. Does anyone know what the entire "bad translation" phrase is? I can make out "Dead body freezer..." then it sounds like "mog stelophan."
That is an awesome video. I love just how accurate all of the portrayals are for most of the translations and fan service...
Yeah, Rockstar's always been pretty good at mocking stuff.
I didn't order anime whore!....is going in my book of quotes.
That's hilarious. But I never really got into GTA...
It's like a stupid cross between Perfect Hair Forever, some kinda robot anime and a porno anime.
This is just another reason for me to pick this game up once I get the money for a system.
This sums up why I don't like Anime.
Yea, but that's the point! If there was no GTA logo in the entire film it would still make you laugh! They just have their ad in there so it tempts you to buy it and watch more of this craziness!
After hearing all the adverts for this in the game, I want to see the whole show they do for it.
... If they bring out PRBG figures, they'd make a fortune. Anime is self-satirizing at its best. Obviously it's far too base for me to wonder about the channels acronym, what it stands for and who it satirizes. Seriously Rockstar, there's definitely marketing potential there.
I didn't order anime whore! This trailer is epic! Too bad it is a CONSOLE EXCLUSIVE! FUUUUU-
I'm trying not to laugh through the whole thing but it keeps slipping out XD Someone has to buy the guy that came up with this idea a beer! X'D
I remember hearing this mentioned on the radio in GTA... "Only a japanese schoolgirl can save us from the giant tentacle monster... by sleeping with it..."
GTA cracks me up. I still love the hillybilly halo parody... But to be honest, if I actually could get the DLC for GTA IV, I wouldn't be spending a lot of time watching TV.
This is great. Almost as good as the Halo/space marine satire show that they have.
That's great. Now that they're releasing dlc that might be worth $20 I'm hoping we'll hear about it going to the ps3 or at least the PC. They have to know that if they don't release it to the PC, it's just going to get hacked in there for free.
That was really funny. Made me laugh out loud. But a little part of me died inside because I knew people like
actually take that view seriously.
That was kind of amusing. Not "lol" quality for me, but amusing none the less.
Best fake anime made up for a video game since Pure White Giant Glastonbury!
That look's and sounds more like hentai rather then anime.
There's a reason this is funny. It's because of how true it is.
It's too easily to classify an entire type of show like anime like that, my personal objection is that American tween-young adult (and sadly older) culture, eats up anything crappy that Japan spits out at this point. I can count on one hand the number of anime shows I consider to actually be quality, and then you walk around my college campus and you see social introverts reading manga, absorbing all of the good and the bad of "anime culture" with no filters or actual opinions. If it's from Japan it HAS to be good!
Well, I see Rockstar is keeping up with their tradition of using thousands of man-hours to create silly parodies of TV shows and websites that are only funny for roughly two point thirty seven minutes and I can't even watch properly in my tiny TV rather than wasting their time trying to master that elusive 'hold analog stick all the way to run rather than pressing a button' technology.
It reminded me of Perfect Hair Forever. XD My favorite line : "I didn't order anime whore."
I didn't watch much TV in GTA IV. There is something inherently wrong with sitting infront of my PC, watching a virtual dude sitting on his couch watching virtual television.
the early tvs suck, the later in game you get, the bigger they get. the penthouses and the NJ mansion have ones that almost take up your entire screen.
Rockstar is great, even if they kinda failed at pacing for the last 3 GTA games. (seriously, San Andreas may be good, but it doesnt have sufficient rewards to actually be playable)
Am I the only one who will admit that they want to see this as a stand alone anime series? I would so buy the full box set.
I don't know about that, but it's pretty funny. Reminds me a bit of Excel Saga, except this was only satirizing anime
This video proves that. "...and deals with bad translations and dubbing!"

Watch Princess Robot Bubblegum Anime in GTA: Gay Tony
The latest Ballad of Gay Tony trailer skewers anime with advertisements for a new in-game TV series called Princess Robot Bubblegum.
Now, I like my fair share of anime, but I also recognize that as a medium, it can be ... well, silly at times. There's lots of stuff there to mock, and mocking satire is what Rockstar does best. So, we get Princess Robot Bubblegum, a story about a hypersexualized nymphomaniac who gets tied up by tentacle monsters, transforms into a robot with boobie-missiles, and who is trained in ninja combat.
Yeah, that sounds about right to me.
Princess Robot Bubblegum is one of the new in-game TV shows that will be watchable in Grand Theft Auto IV: The Ballad of Gay Tony, which hits shelves (and digital distribution) this Thursday.
