This Quiz Is a Battlefield

image

War. War never changes - and neither does our fascination with the battlefield. Whether it's a dogfight in the skies over Europe, or a dense jungle on an alien world, there's something about military conflict that never ceases to capture our imaginations.

This week's quiz is all about wars in videogames - some fictional, some not. As always, you can take as long as you like, but remember: Your overall time will affect your position on the leaderboards.

Grab a weapon and prepare to fight! (Take the quiz.)

Where does the illustration come from? I must say I like the concept quite a lot.

Neat...one question almost got me though, the 'Silent Hunter 2' question. It's not -exactly- the thing the answer supplies, but close enough I guess. :P

Woo! Currently holding 3rd place. I got to admit I took a few educated guesses though...

50%.
I don't play many war games, so it's quite a feature if you think about it'

I mean, except from a occasional Halo or Left 4 Dead

FWOOOOSH! Ratatatatatata! SPLAT! Dakka dakka dakka dakka!

13th currently (pretty symbolic in war context, isn't it?) - with all questions answered on three goes. Only one i tripped over was HOE3 question - didn't think THAT nation's pilot would be left out.

This was a good quiz. I got it in 3 tries even though I haven't played most of these games. Glad to see that Advance Wars got a shout-out!

Okay, I'm gonna start working on a quiz so I can get that Trebek in Training badge. I think I have a good topic too...

Not to be a correction nazi, but its silent hunter 3, its the best atlantic theatre one out atm. The 5th game in the series comes out in 2010. I think I'm the only one here that plays it.
