ah Robin Williams, when will you do standup again? but i've known this for a while, he's reputed for also playing counter-strike and claiming half-life was an awesome game; he also has a long agreement with Nintendo of America that he should play as Professor Oak in the event of a live-action Pokemon movie (thank God the movie idea never happened, but Williams as Oak is nonetheless interesting)

And now to completely break you all

Hulk Hogan is a Pokemon and Ultimate Muscle fan, Zac Efron loves the hell out of Death Note and Full Metal Panic, and others I lost the image with them all

Haha, I wonder what that 10 year-old would say if he found out who he was talking smack to.

(Seriously though, who names their kid Zelda?)

The father of F. Scott Fitzgerald's wife?

Goddamn English with the goddamn in-depth studies of The Great Gatsby. Good book, mind you, I recommend it (especially after the whole The Grapes of Wrath crap-fest. Yeesh.)

Williams' awesomeness stems even more from the fact that he plays D&D.

A lot.

...
...no.
...what?
...NO.

exe."mental breakdown"

Speaking of Full Metal Panic, I love that movie Full Metal Jacket. It's so darkly humorous, but it isn't even aiming for comedy. It's not supposed to be funny. Kind of like The Hurt Locker. Empire Of The Sun is also cool, as is Letters From Iwo Jima, Thirteen Days... Those war movies are the shit...

damn it, now I have to watch all of them again!

What was I talking about?

I'd heard the ten-year-old thing before, but I don't think it was on Late Night. It was about a month ago, maybe Conan.

Williams also said that even though he named his daughter after the princess, he doesn't call her Princess Zelda often, "only occasionally."

Can you imagine being called "Zelda" and having to go to school? You'd get bullied more than Titties McCockbag.

Okay, maybe not more than him, but it's hardly a normal name.

There's a Zelda in the Freshman class at my High School this year. So nyuuh.

I've known about Robin Williams' gaming predilections since he helped Will Wright showcase the original Spore Tech Demo.

Cool.

I oncer played TF2 with a guy whose screen name was Seth Rogan, he sounded exactly like him and claimed that it was actually he. You never know though, but it was fun nonetheless. He was actually a pretty descent player. We went toe to toe with one another as snipers for awhile and it was pretty evenly matched. I'd like to think it really was him.

EDIT: I also used to group with this chick in WoW that said she was some semi famous pornstar. Her name was Mia something... can't remember.

... Mia Smiles?

Okay, nevermind. *cough*

On topic, ya know, I might have to get Call of Duty to hang with him or try to or completely waste money trying to. ... Dammit, I just fell for free celebrity placement!

Why didn't he name his son Atlas?

Oh, well, I guess then he's have to be less than 2 years old.

This interview is made of win.

Vin Diesel's GF is into WoW hah.

But course oyu think he's a gamer if he helped out with Spore demo, although that was back when spore was good, the copy we got...

Course they won't say it's them online tough, the amount of people that would soon stalk them, sell their account details, talk crap etc would be nonstop, when all they want to do is just have some regular fun between their acting/comedian careers.

Erm, I think he outright dismissed gaming at one point. I could be wrong. Still, I enjoy his books.

PS2MAN:
I am sure Zelda wont mind "Forming a Triforce" with the boys at her school. If anything I am pretty sure she would love to obtain their Triforce of Power.

Someone had todo it......

Ergh. That was a very tortured link, heh. Why not "Zelda will want to get her hands on the boy's powerful triforce's in highschool", or something like that.

I seem to recall a news posting a few years ago saying he loved playing as a Sniper on Battlefield 2 and another a few years before that he was in to Day of Defeat.

Greg Tito:

In an interview on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last Friday, Robin Williams revealed that he has been a gamer for a long, long time.

I'm pretty sure he's also a Games Workshop nut, friend tells me he has a massive Skaven army. That's one further step along the geek ladder.

Hmm...I wonder. Second week into playing Gears 2; I was getting my ass handed to me by this one guy who sounded like four or five people were talking into the same mic except there were only four people total in the session. Prolly not Robin and really WAS four or five people talking crap to me as I was getting owned, but...it does make me wonder.

This makes me smile. Good to know the celeb world can merge with the gamer one, once again.
