1. Knights of the Old Republic
2. Mass Effect
3. Assassin's Creed 2
4. Dragon Age
5. Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
I'm tempted to put Baldur's Gate 2 on here, but my superficial love of graphics ruined that for the poor game. Hovering just outside the Top 5 are Knights of the Old Republic II and Final Fantasy XII. By the way, I'm with the people saying that Mass Effect 2 doesn't qualify as being of the last decade. And, yeah, I'm a RPG and Bioware junkie.
1. Persona 3
2. Fallout 3
Return To Castle Wolfenstein (2001)
Fallout 3 is number 10.
Note that these aren't necessarily my FAVORITE games of the decade, but what I feel are the most important genre-setting ones.
4. Dawn of War: Dark Crusade.
3. Age of Mythology.
2. Titan Quest.
1. Heroes of Might and Magic 3.
No Metal Gear games? I'm disappointed. And RE4? Come on.
RE4 kicked ass dude, unlike the crappy sequel.
OT: It makes sense that they didn't pick their own games, that would be quite arrogant.
1. Mass Effect 2
2. Dragon Age: Origins
3. Diablo II
4. Fallout 3
5. Ratchet & Clank 2/3
Bioshock/System Shock 2
Baldur's Gate 2
The Orange Box (this is how you squeeze sequels in without looking like a jackass, people)
Resident Evil 4
Mass Effect 2
Dragon Age Origins
I love me the rpgs
Tears of Blood:
NOTE TO EVERYONE: Mass Effect 2 was released in 2010.
Yes, but that's still within the "last" 10 years. =P
But they are saying "of the decade" (2000-2009). >_>
Any time people talk about this, there has to be at least one guy to say what I'm about to say. Today, I will be playing the part of that guy:
The proper decade is 2001-2010, not 2000-2009. The first year of our calendar was 1, not 0, so either all decades start with "***1" and end with "***0" or there has been at least one decade in our history that did not consist of 10 years.
Half Life 2
Team Fortress 2
Mass Effect 2
damn i'm disapointed can't understand how they can consider the piece of shit that Fallout 3 is a good game... Comming from story lover and genious like the Bioware fonders are
1. Demon's Souls
2. Fallout 3
4. Fatal Frame 2
Wow, just wow. What a terrible list. Modern Warfare 2--really? Fallout 3 was PRETTY good, but instead of being a TRUE Fallout game, it was a clunky fps that pandered to the drooling retard console-playing masses. Incidentally, the exact same thing could be said about Bioshock (although System Shock 2 was clunky as well). What about Portal? No One Lives Forever? Nothing from Metal Gear Solid? I could probably sit here and think of a dozen games from the last decade that are better than RE4 and MW2. Christ, I'm surprised they didn't say Halo 3.
In no particular order:
Kingdom Hearts... can't decide on 1 or 2
Heroes of Might and Magic IV
Eh... I agree with part of that list, but not all of it.
My own list...
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
Half-Life 2 (and all that is associated with it)
Rome: Total War
Mass Effect 1/2
