You know what the best thing was about this video? Your manly side-burns, that's what. Those must've taken some time to cultivate, call me impressed. But this vid makes me a bit sad. I was very late to the StarCraft party and as a result I simply suck major donkey nuts at it. I tried it online but...it wasn't pretty. I might eventually finish the single-player, but it's not very, I don't know, it doesn't motivate me very much. Anyway, when I hear about all the people so very excited by this, and just the simple fact that this is probably the biggest launch this year it saddens me that it all goes past me. I wish I could join in!

Have to agree with Funk, the artbook is usually the best part of a collectors edition, especially since soundtracks tend to be part of the same dvd as other things these days rather than an actual audio cd. Personally I quite like the makings of though, can provide some interesting insight when you get the writers and such talking rather than the programmers. | |
It's very nice, but nothing I want. I'm pretty sure I've got an old CD of Starcraft somewhere around here... and if not, I can find it somewhere else. Since there are still those Battle Chests at Best Buy I keep seeing and I can buy it off of a website somewhere else brand new. Otherwise yeah, I'd be kicking myself right now. In fact, I should buy that Battle Chest just to make sure nothing goes wrong. ... Oh and awesome for you getting a free copy, that's just a tremendous amount of luck. Or is it a bribe? ... You're only gonna be looking at it for a few hours, I've been looking at it since freaking Saturday because pretty much every shop around here broke the release date. Can't complain though, since I managed to track down possibly one of the less than 10 "rogue" collector's editions that were not tied to a preorder in my whole country, so I guess the trip downtown at 8 in the morning was worth it. | |
My Collectors Edition arrived this morning, I was very saddened when it gave me a message telling me I couldn't install it. The USB Drive is awesome, it lights up when you plug it in to your PC, now I'm going to go play WoW and enjoy my new Mini Thor pet that does it's animations a little too frequently. | |

StarCraft II Collector's Edition: The Unboxing
The gorgeous Collectors' Edition of StarCraft II made its way to The Escapist's HQ this morning, so we thought we'd open it up and show you all the goodies inside.
I have to admit, as someone who was slightly looking forward to StarCraft II, it was a pretty neat surprise to find some weighty packages from Blizzard enter the door at The Escapist HQ this morning. The StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty Collector's Edition is big, seriously heavy, and absolutely beautiful.
Even if we can't install the game until midnight tonight, I'm kind of content to just leave this on my desk and stare at it lovingly for the next few hours. But you don't care about that, do you? You just want to watch us taking this baby out of the box. So why are you still reading this? Go on, watch the video! Shoo!
