Well, They do have all the experience, which is awesome. I cant wait for the release!
Can't wait for the game! The voice cast looks awesome - anything with Simon Pegg AND Stephen Fry is something to look out for! Also, is it me or does the armour in the screenshot looks an awful lot like the steel heavy armour in TES IV? Whatever.
I really cant wait for this game. Ive always had faith in Lionhead, and I know theyll pull through for me on this one. This game is going to be fantastic.
I can imagine having peter as a boss after I just earnt him a bazillion pounds, i'm sure they get doggie treats full of emotion every day :D OT: Yay? I suppose I might pick it up, off amazon, used of course :p
Good news, should mean they are no unexpected delays. Also a couple of days ago Peter Molyneux said on Twitter that they're down to the last "few hundred bugs." Hopefully there shouldn't be anything to sully the final game, like the last one.
I do hope that by faster they are not rushing, that they are looking over what they are doing and have done, finding things to add or improve to make it the best game it can be. Still I'm looking forward to it. EDIT: Just remembered John Cleese will be in it so even if I won't like it I can just shut my eyes and listen to him talk. And John Cleese = awesome
This looks so good and it will sound awesome too. Can't wait :) Got my limited edition pre-ordered!
Good maybe this time they got round to giving the game a boss then. I hope.
good, im looking forward to it. hopefully that means they arent spending all their time making fart jokes.
Goes to show the advantage to keeping people familiar with an IP when creating a sequel. Glad to know this game is coming along. I'd hate to see another game get delayed because of technicalities.
Given Peter's habit of exaggeration, I'm still skeptical about this game. Regardless it does look interesting. I might get this. I'll have to pick up Fable 1 & 2 first probably.
The real question is.... is it gonna be worth a damn unlike the second one. At least from the picture it looks like that brought armor back which is good cause fighting in halo armor that added nothing to my protection was really REALLY fucking gay
DAMN! I told my self NOT to get hyped for this game! Damn your exceptional hyping skills, Peter Moleneux! And your ability to inform me of all things new in gaming, Escapist News Room!
"With a PC version to follow"? Really, Peter? You fucked us all good and hard with the XBox-only Fable 2, so pardon me if I don't completely trust you when you say that there'll be a PC version of this one too. Seriously, Fable 2 was ruined by being on the XBox. It belongs on the PC. Also, could you PLEASE for the love of God put a decent world map in the game? It's supposed to be a sprawling world exploration game, and yet the mapping function is primitive beyond belief! I had to draw my own paper maps to figure out how all the zones connected so my whore of a wife (literally) wouldn't divorce me for taking the long way home!
I cannot express just how excited I am for this game! I loved the first two Fable games, and the third installment looks like it's cgoing to be everything good about the first few combined with a brilliant Voice Acting Cast.
*Screams like a little girl* This looks so awesome. Good to hear its going ten times faster.
PLEASE make of all this news worth it, Lionhead! :-(
Cool. Whats new to Fable 3 though? I honestly haven't heard any massive innovative things to make this game much better than 2 like we have been hearing from Bungie on Reach. All I get is "its going to great go out and buyit". Frankly won't be fooled twice that same shit was pulled on me during Fable 2.
WTF? your wife was threatening a divorce for taking a long time to get home in Fable 2?
The only game other than Fable 2 that has caused me to take no interest whatsoever in it's sequel is Two Worlds. And that's really saying something. The day Molyneux stops talking out of his arse is the same day Duke Nukem Forever is released and the universe collapses in on itself.
Actually, I hear that using armour in sword-fights is all the rage in the gay community these days.
Ah good, at least someone has sense.
Hmm, really? We expect so much more from this type of game! Fable 2 didnt live up to anything at all nevermind MolyTalksShitNeux' hype of great exploration (it was linear as hell) customisation (HA! Where!? Theres more customisation in the way i bite my nail) and intriguing side quests etc (no. just no) Hes a business man first remember, dont fall for his shit AGAIN.
I seriously cant wait for this, im so excited, nearly as anticipated as Reach
that's great news I wish I could buy this game.
My god... people... how could you not notice... but... but... this wasn't said by Molyneux! He's letting someone else talk about the game for once! Though, them making it fast, doesn't equate to it being good.
Wow still all the "this game is awesome, can't wait for it" comments except for you. This game is becoming more and mor shit in my eyes I did some research and all I could get was that there was no weapons/clothing menu you go to a store or your wardrobe and put them on. Fable's story is always the same concept of growing up doing fetch quests than you meet the bad guy at the end and kill him. That alone is not worth my $60. I'll have to see some 10/10 reviews and community comments before I even consider this game.
I started on this game with cautious optimism, but every time I hear about it I care less and less. As a PC user my interest really went down the drain when they delayed it and have yet to announce a new release date, and have now convinced me that PC users will once again get fucked up the ass when they decide that only console users deserve to get all the content (Like Treyarch is doing with the next COD since only console users have access to the four extra, or maybe even four only, zombie maps). This game has also pretty much confirmed my belief that MS has almost completely abandonned the PC market, only making half assed ports at the most; not that I ever really believed their claims to the contrary in the first place. Their recent remark on ME2 for the PS3 didn't help at all either.
what kind of swords are they using ? XD
Here's just a few new features being added to Fable 3: 1. You get to rule Albion as King or Queen for the second half of the game, making decisions about the entire kingdom, which you can see the effects on locations and NPC's. 2. Each of the 30 to 40 different types of AI characters each have about 2,000 lines of speech, so less sameism than Fable 2. 3. You can now touch NPC's such as handshaking, hugging etc depending on situation. Hope this helps, although if you didn't like the previous game you probably won't like this one :P
4. John Cleese... 'Nuff said.
Fable 1 is worth it. Fable 2 not so much. It's "less of the same".
Well, I'm excited for this game, but I will wait for reviews, and if possible I'll rent it first. The stuff I've heard about this game makes it sound pretty good. The only question that remains is whether or not what I've heard is true, and how well it's implemented. At the time, I enjoyed Fable II, but in retrospect, there was a lot wrong with that game. For one thing: Godly Power and nearly unlimited wealth are fun at first, but eventually, you run out of things to do with it. By the end of fable II, I had maxed out all my skills, owned everything, and everyone thought I was the best thing to happen since sliced bread. I was king in all but Name. And it was SO GODDAMNED BORING!!! Lets hope being the king is a bit more fun this time around.
Well as long as it's better than that great game Fable II, I'm a pleased person...
Didn't Fable: The Lost Chapters come out on the PC with more content than the Xbox version, or was that just the Xbox DLC added on? I'm not going to have high hopes for anything more in the PC version for the 3rd, in fact I don't believe there will be a PC version, but just remembering that.. And on the Treyarch comment, are you serious?
Yup, there will be an additional (or perhaps these are the only ones, I'm not sure) four zombie maps for those who purchase the hardened or prestige addition of Black ops. Since the PC version won't have a hardened or prestige addition... Edit: hey 1000 posts

Work on Fable 3 Racing Along, Says Lionhead
According to Fable 3's art director, work on the game is progressing significantly faster than its predecessor, despite it being much larger.
The first time you do something is always the hardest, and that doesn't matter if you're trying to bake a cake, put up a shelf, or make an Xbox 360 game. But according to John McCormack, Fable 3's art director, that previous experience - and the resources that came from it - mean that work on this latest Fable is moving much, much quicker than the last one.
McCormack said that having the engine already built made it much easier to develop Fable 3. He said that while Fable 3 is a much bigger game than Fable 2 - both in terms of size and the variety of content - it was much easier to iterate this time round, and work was moving ten times faster than the last game.
Working on Fable 2 had been "scary," he said, as it was hard to tell how things would hang together when they were finished, and were effectively working in the dark. But he said that this time around, there was a much more relaxed atmosphere, as the team had lots of experience and were excited about the project.
It's taken Lionhead just two years to create Fable 3, so while "ten times faster" is probably at least a little bit of an exaggeration, it's clear that things are moving pretty quickly. Fable 3 will be available on Xbox 360 on October 26th, with a PC version to follow.
