Artist Turns All 493 Pokemon Into Cosplaying Girls
The term "Gotta Catch 'Em All" becomes much creepier when you're talking about little girls instead of cute creatures.
A Japanese artist has taken the pre-Pokemon Black & White roster and turned every single creature into an anime girl. No, I don't know why, but it's pretty impressive from the standpoint of how much work had to be done.
The artist represents all of the popular Pokemon like Pikachu and Charmander, but doesn't forget to include fan favorites like Mankey and Psyduck. The concept of Mankey is a little thrown off, but there's no reason why a girl can't dress as a man that is also a monkey. Even all of the throwaway letter-shaped Pokemon are here.
The style of each Pokemon is suitably represented, with the artist giving them proper poses and facial expressions. Snorlax still looks lazy, and I can tell that the anime girl version of Charizard is a jerk too.
The scope of this project is a bit absurd, but there's apparently just something about Pokemon that makes artists want to represent them in other forms. A full set of anime girl Pokemon seems like a more natural step than Lego Pokemon and H.P. Lovecraft Pokemon anyway. Those working on a set of Pokemon in Jello or matchsticks better quicken the pace, because come Black & White you'll have 150 more to do.
That is quite cool. I swear some of those are male though...
That is both deeply adorable and disturbing...
Why would you do this
Damn that's ambitious, and it looks good too. Ah well, gotta draw 'em all (as cosplaying girls) I guess ^^
I like how about every 10 images there's a sexually suggestive one. Japanese just can't help themselves...
Also, what the fuck is going on with the Omastar one? She looks like she's getting something in the back entrance... O_O
That is creepy, yeah.
On the other hand...when aren't anime girls creepy? What can you add them to without making it weird?
Why would you do this
It's called pokejinka and it's actually pretty fun to do. I mean, how can you hate on this guy?

Yes, one of them is male and it's one the pokemon that can only be mail... fighting physic type.. Gallade I think It's called.
Just a note to the article writer that not all of them are girls, two specifically that I noticed were Nidoking and Mankey/Primape ones I didn't go through all of them (don't have the time to really) but from the first 150 that's what I noticed.(unless of course the artist just drew really boyish looking girls for those two)
I've seen similar pics like this and I always found them pretty cool.
But damn, 493? That must of taken a lot of time to make.
on a serious note, shit must have taken forever.... man I wish I had that much
free time dedication
edit: btw, that Blastoise chick looks like a Gundam
somethings the world just does not need, this is one of them
That's a metric fuckton of dedication right there.
This is hardly a new thing. Fans have been doing this for ages.
I call them "Pokepeople".
Here's another Japanese artist who was doing this: http://www4.atwiki.jp/hitec/ I think he gave up, though. Or he could just have moved to a different website, it's not as if I can read the moonrunes there.
That is pretty cool, I applaud not only the quality of the finished product, but the sheer determination to do it aswell.
Creepy... Sounds like something straight off /b/ if you ask me.
Shellder is just creepy. I can't go on after seeing that.
Uck, anime. Seriously, its so weird.
I don't know if I should be impressed but how cool that is or if I should be creeped out by it.
Hahaha Oh wow.
This is pretty cool though not the first batch of Pokegirls iv seen.
And ill bet it wont be the last.
Some look awesome, others......look creepy.
Either way, they must have taken quite a while.
I...I... words fail me. My childhood just crumbeled before my eyes.
This...evokes mixed reactions.
At first, I thought it was a bizarre and perverse idea.
However, I can see a lot of thought went into this, and some of the costume designs are pretty good.
I think some low points are Shellder and Mew, with Kingler being totally awesome.
That, I did not need to see.
Trying to think of a clever pun involving poke-balls turning blue.
Huh, GEEZUS that's a lot. But kudos to the artist for all the hard work this must have taken,
That was awesome. Only dissappointed with Roserade. But Absol, Torterra, Spiritomb, Magmar, Raichu, Rapidash, Marowak, Moltres, Ho-oh, Shiftry, Mawile, Zangoose, Magneton, Starmie, Lumineon, Mesprit and Darkrai were my favorites.
Also I like the fact that the artist didn't change Nidoking, Gallade, Mothim and Latios.
I am deeply disturbed. OK, Zapdos and Crawdaunt were cool, but Still, deeply disturbed.
And Lolita Empoleon?
..I think I'm now afraid of penguins.
Speaking as someone who has minimal interest in Pokemon and precisely zero interest in anime: I find this genuinely impressive. Bit creepy, perhaps, but you have to admire the skill and dedication.
Hippowdon one made me wtf. Is she shitting sand?
Hahahaha, I thought this was funny. Especially as it seems bust size is related to evolution stage.
