Kmart Unveils Sweet Game Deals for Black Friday

image

Kmart's deals for Black Friday may just make getting up at 6 AM worth it.

Here in the United States, the Holiday Shopping Season is about to start. That means that retailers are vying for everyone's patronage by announcing insane deals for Black Friday (which falls on November 25th this year). These deals often feature extreme discounts on videogames, and Kmart wants you to know that - should you be willing to camp out at one of its stores - there will be some very nice games featuring even nicer prices waiting for you.

According to Kmart's Black Friday advertisement, here are just a few of the discounts that will be awaiting savvy shoppers (read: folks whose love for bargains verges on the unhealthy):

Xbox 360 4GB console: $149
Kinect sensor: $99
Gears of War 3: $40
RAGE: $30
Ico/Shadow of the Colossus Collection: $30
God of War 3: $15
Uncharted 2: $15
Skylanders Spyro's Adventure Starter Pack: $50

Presumably Kmart will also have some other big console discounts, but it remains to be seen just what they'll be.

So, anyone wanna bet how many people will be trampled to death this Black Friday? Last year hit the double digits.

$9.99 for Enslaved? Wow, that's a great deal. I take it they're not doing fresh releases on sale, no? Because I would love to pick up something like Skyrim on sale already.

k mart is still alive?

wow.

still, not bad on those deals...

too bad what i need is a tv and not games =\

Any recent games gonna be on that list? I would love to be able to get a couple of games for cheaper.

30 bucks for RAGE?
hmmm... I might have to check this out, not like I have anywhere better to go, I wonder why I never shop on black friday...

...oh right, THAT'S why...

Why do I have to work during that time. :( They also have Metal Gear Solid HD Collection and NSF The Run for $35 and $40 each.

So... it is news that a store is having a sale? ok then.

Ahem...

Ico/Shadow of the Colossus Collection: $30

Nuff saied!!!

Definitely sticking to digital black friday sales, they often end up being just the same or even better and it is the same minus the huge hassle of dealing with mouth breaking sycophants and the possibility of being killed.

then you, my friend, need to sign up for NewEgg.com emails. I have a perfectly fine TV, but almost got one from them last year cuz they discounted it almost 900 dollars. I think it's original price was around 1200.

OT: If i remember correctly, Kmart had some good stuff last year too. I would love to find skyrim on sale for the price of BF3....

haha oh i am, i'm just waiting for that perfectly priced one (i don't have too much money, 400 dollars is my absolute top limit) and i just need something between 32-40 inch and 1080 (doesn't need to be LED or anything.)

there have been a couple decent picks..but nothing that jumps off the page yet.

I kinda wish there were Kmart still around where I lived. All that is left is target and walmart really. Didn't even know a single Kmart was still in business.

Wow early MW3 releases, special awesome deals, what next Kmart?
Taking the devlopment for HL2 episode3 into their own hands?

Decent deals, but you're going to have to give me an arm or a leg to make me wake up that early.

I like my sleep dammit =__=

Well, I think it's a better idea than going to Gamestop.

I just spend combined 120 dollars on mw3 and skyrim... can I add on another 30 dollars for rage? .... I may not even bother going home for Christmas

Xbox 360 4GB console: $149
Kinect sensor: $99
Gears of War 3: $40
RAGE: $30
Ico/Shadow of the Colossus Collection: $30
God of War 3: $15
Uncharted 2: $15
Skylanders Spyro's Adventure Starter Pack: $50

Yeah, sorry Kmart but I'm not even that far ahead on my backlog.
Besides being at college, I need this vacation time to catch-up on my new releases.

TitanAtlas:

So 10 dollars cheaper than normal will get you out there to buy from them? You could even pick it up used from Gamestop for 34.99 right now.

As for me the only thing I am want on this list is the Kinect for $99 the rest of my money will be spent online buying computer parts.

Is there anything for Dark Souls?

Please tell me there's something for Dark Souls...

I predict tramplings in the near future.

.....shit, I just realized I have to work that day....

Good deals but last time I went to a black friday event, I got punched in the jaw. Sooo thanks, but no thanks.
I might wait to see what other deals they'll come out with though.

So Kmart starts advertising on this site, and all of a sudden we start seeing news stories about their game deals? Very interesting. They've had some pretty sweet deals for awhile now. I've got a $30 coupon from buying Batman in the first week and I'm going to use it in conjunction with the buy one get one half off deal going on right now. Rayman Origins + Skyrim for $60 if all goes according to plan.

Arrrgggh, too bad my two year CD doesn't mature until December. Though I think I'm going to use some of that money to upgrade my computer so it can properly play The Old Republic when it comes out, oh, and get The Old Republic.

You kind of sound like me when I get game credits from pre-ordering games from Amazon.

"Now that I have my credit, I will use it to pre-order that game, and get another credit, which I will use to get that game too....gooood...good. My plan is coming together and Amazon will be none the wiser."

Gah, that's a pretty crummy list, overall.

There are some nice games. But gah.

Gah. And other gah stuff.

I'm going to be going for a 42 inch TV at Best Buy for $200, myself.

I mean, for that price, who doesn't need another TV?

You can always use it for Eyefinity if you already own several others.

I mean, $200, people. That's the same price you'll pay for a tiny 22 inch 1080p monitor, many times. Sure, you may not be getting any more resolution, but it's very worth it if you like doing anything not huddled up at a desk from time to time.

And why am I letting you all know? Now I have more competition getting it!

Black Friday sales are a pretty big deal in the States, yes. You can score some pretty major bargains if you're willing to put forth the effort.

We, and most other game sites, typically cover Black Friday gaming deals to help readers (or their families) save a few bucks. Gaming is a pricey hobby, so every little bit helps - especially at the holidays.

Is it totally awful that I saw "Black" and "Friday" in the same sentence, and my mind immediately drifted to something else?

HAH! It's stuck in your head now, too.

The only reason I ever go out on Black Friday is when I want a new tv. I'm thinking next year I'll be out there around 1 am like I did two years ago.

Hmm. Good thing I live near a K-Mart that almost no one goes to. Of course, that might be due to the fact that there's another K-Mart, Walmart, and Target about twelve miles south.

6am? I wish. I'm opening at Target at MIDNIGHT (Good luck getting any of those deals at 6!) and pulling a full eight hour shift. Anyways, woo savings. Now where are my redbulls...

If only sales like this existed here in NZ.

Whoa, an Xbox 360 on sale? As in, on sale on sale? With an actual lower price instead of the usual price but with a free gift card? Madre de Dios, it can happen. I was honestly thinking there was some sort of price fixing thing going on.

Awfully nice of you to only cover the ones at a store chain practically nobody shops at anymore, so that if anyone does go for these deals they won't be at risk of getting trampled by the crowds. ;)

In all seriousness, I do appreciate this article, even if I probably still don't feel like getting up ungodly early to go shopping. Our nearest Kmart is too far to bother anyway.

I just realized that some store chain might actually have gotten it into their heads to use a parody of her song in their Black Friday commercials. You know, like retailers often do with popular songs.

Then I remembered I never watch TV anymore anyway so I probably won't even know.
