Man Sues Porn Star for Not Being His Twitter Buddy

image

Japanese adult actress Aoi Sora has one very determined Twitter fan.

If you use Twitter, it's probably a safe bet that you follow a handful of famous people who will never, ever follow you back. Perhaps it's @BarackObama, with his 15 million followers, or @LadyGaga with her 23 million. Perhaps it's our very own @YahtzeeCroshaw - regardless of who it is, these people will likely never be your Twitter friends and that's okay. Unless you're a Japanese man in his 40s with an unsettling obsession with porn star Aoi Sora, that is.

According to the Tokyo Reporter, the man, who claims to be an education writer, has sued to have the Twitter account of the Big Tits Zombie actress taken down. As far as anyone can figure, his grievance with the star of Repeated Death, Grand Orgasm has nothing to do with objections to potentially-inappropriate material, and everything to do with her ignoring his repeated requests for her to follow him as well.

Via multiple accounts, the educator repeatedly asked Ms. Sora, who has appeared in adult videos like A Life With Sora is Filled With Sex 24 Hours! to contact him on Twitter, with missives like:

"I am a fan of yours; please follow me," "Please consider following," "How's work? Your English is getting better. Please follow me," and, in the end, he wrote in English, "Please follow me."

The man in question claims he was attempting to contact the actress to unearth the truth behind a minor controversy regarding her Chinese fans. Though Twitter is blocked in the People's Republic, Sora has found fame there as a mainstream celebrity. When Chinese fans discovered her Twitter account in April, many of them downloaded software to circumvent the Great Firewall. Others were suspicious that the account was truly Ms. Sora's instead of an imposter.

Given that the man had been making similar requests of other celebrities beyond the actress who starred in Complete Obedience - Masochist Secretary, though, that alibi doesn't hold up.

Aoi Sora? Sweet, looks like I have another name to add to the fap bank.

OT: This is just sad. Like......"marrying your love pillow" levels of sad.

I think im going to regret asking why so many of her films are named in this article...

Anyway, has human kind found a new low in terms of resorting to legal action? I would think so, though im surprised an American didnt do it first.

Who, like me, read the headline, and clicked it thinking "Oh, America..." and found out after that this was about Japan?

Yes, the land known for having nothing wierd at all in it, right?;-)

Aaaaaaand THAT's is what's wrong with humanity.

Actually, I immediately assumed it was Japan after seeing the headline.

Used to be the stalkee took legal action against the stalker. Now....

I feel like John had too much fun researching as many names of her adult films as possible to put in this article...

But Japanese weirdness is generally of the type that doesn't sue.

actually, depending on how you hold it, two American girls attempted to sue McDonald's because evidently eating McDonald's makes you fat.

Thankfully the courts laughed them out and even made a law to prevent that shit from happening again.

years later, pizza = vegetable, stay classy America.

OT: This is....... sad/weird/lame/hilarious.

Sue a porn star because she wont follow you on twitter.

on a secondary note, those names of her movies.... Im guessing they are translated, because "A Life With Sora is Filled With Sex 24 Hours!" sounds like it would hurt about the five hour mark for most people.

after eight hours you are just going through the motions.

John Funk:

Big Tits Zombie

Pshh, everyone knows Big Tits Zombie has nothing on Big Tits Dragon.

How do you know it was just research?

I look forward to the day when the default action for any slight (both real and imagined) is to sue people. It will make war a lot less dangerous, if considerably more exspensive.

And now I'm going to sue you all for looking at my post in a funny way. Grab your cheque books.

This may be my new favourite news story. It's even funnier if you imagine it being read by a very proper BBC announcer.

Yes i heard of that incident, in that Morgan Spurlock documentary where he went about the buisness of exposing just how bad McDonalds actually was for you... by going on a crash diet of McDonalds.

Crap, the only reason i remember his name is because hes hosting a talk show over here in the UK now, and the advert for the show all but directly references the documentary.

Ok let's be honest here. You only put this story up because you wanted to reference as many of her films as possible didn't you? Wait...unless...you are her trying to increase your sales! HAH! I'm on to you...also can I be your friend on Facebook?

(Facepalm) Seriously, just... SERIOUSLY? Geeze, priorities much?

Reading that article in the voice of Huw Edwards just made my life SO MUCH MORE AWESOME.

I thank you.

Yes.

Wait wait wait, what exactly are the charges? Is not being fake internet buddies punishable by law now? Don't these have to go through some process, someone must have approved something somewhere

wait wait....i know, creepy japan and all that, perv and what is wrong with this world but....

"the Great Firewall" just made me crack up xD

oh witty puns...how i love you.

Yes.

The first thing I did after reading this was look her name up on a rather unscrupulous search engine... for research purposes, of course. >.>

Because the article's title definitely indicated it was about videogames rather than about a man suing a porn star for not being his twitter buddy...

?

You DO realize that The Escapist doesn't JUST cover video game news, right? There have been stories related to movies, robotics, science, and other non-video game related subjects.

Is it bad without looking at who posted it my first thought was it was Grey.

OT: Oh Japan never change I do enjoy you

Haha, Ms. Blue Sky.

Can't get past her name.

I really don't know how to feel. This is really sad, but at the same time I can .. somewhat, slightly understand why the guy would feel this way. Yet he's handling it all wrong- if you want to impress a lady, don't just spam her on Twitter. Send her stuff by mail and say you're just grateful for what she does (though in this case I might not consider going with that but.. who knows?)

This is hilarious beyond words. This guy is basically suing her for not replying back to his stalking XD

And here I thought the whole suing-for-ridculous-things was an American thing

So, not only does he make what may be the most foolish lawsuit I have ever heard, but, also, the fact that he actually SUED. As in... He's now infamous across the world for being the guy that was being a stalker-fanboy to a porn star, of all things!

I've got Elias Toufexis and Eidos Montreal following me, I'm all set =D
