PopCap Games, a leading developer and publisher of casual games, announced the appointment of Greg Canessa, formerly the Gemeral Manager of Microsoft's Xbox Live Arcade Service, to be their VP of Video Game Platforms.
Mr. Canessa brings over 15 years of gaming industry experience to PopCap. His challenge is to bring the company's casual games to new platforms and devices.
PopCap Games was one of the first developers to make games for Xbox Live Arcade, and has expanded greatly since its founding in 2000, opening facilities in San Francisco and Dublin, Ireland. Greg Canessa was an early advocate of bringing casual games to the Xbox and Xbox 360 consoles and is excited to help guide PopCap's future growth.
