Telltale's Collectors Edition Walking Over to GameStop

Telltale's Collectors Edition Walking Over to GameStop

Exclusive The Walking Dead artwork by Charlie Adlard comes with the Collector's Edition.

Telltale's The Walking Dead will be compiled onto one disc for retail sale December 2012, but up till now not much has been said about a Collector's Edition. Now details of that Edition have been released, but fair warning: if you want it, go to GameStop, as it's exclusive to that retailer.

The standard Xbox 360 or PS3 disc compilation features all five episodes of Season One, and is available for $29.99. The Collector's Edition has the disc, plus The Walking Dead Compendium One graphic novel collection with exclusive cover art from Charlie Adlard - the series' artist since 2004 - plus a box decorated with more Adlard art to keep it all in. The whole shebang will set you back $69.99.

Telltale says that the Collector's Edition will be extremely limited, and that this version of the Compendium will remain unique to this release; it won't be sold elsewhere, and is due December 4th. Only pre-order GameStop customers will get it, so if this is something you want, don't walk: run!

It's funny how industry bigwigs always bitch about Gamestop and used sales in general, but still always give them exclusive incentives.

More importantly this means that the last episode will be out soon! At least some time in the next two months anyway.

If the majority of players chose GameStop over other retailers, I wonder how they'll write it into the next episode.

It's like how Republicans are always whining about the "welfare state", but still go out of their way to pander to all the white people who collect it.

Huh, didn't exactly expect this to happen. I've played the first three episodes, and I know what happens in the fourth, but I've never bought any of the episodes before (just tried them while I stayed at my cousins who bought it). Guess I'll have to now. I guess when Season 2 comes around, they might just do the same thing. Had a blast playing.

$30 for 5 episodes? I think that's a good price I guess.

No PC collectors edition? Sadface is me

I'd be excited if one, I didn't already have the compendium, and two, we were likely to see this in the UK.

Oh well.

This is very tempting to me since I haven't played the games yet since I maxed out my PS3 hard drive already and I don't have space for it.

That's a damn good deal though.
