Big Deal on the Internet: Hitman Absolution and Persona 4 Arena

Big Deal on the Internet: Hitman Absolution and Persona 4 Arena

image

With Christmas only one week away, retailers are putting together giant bundle deals so they can clear out inventory.

Amazon is launching some heavy duty PC bundle deals, as well as some great prices on single titles such as last month's release Hitman Absolution at only $20. And if you need stocking stuffers, they also have a few physical copies at good prices, such as Persona 4 Arena at a new low of $22.

Several combo deals are available from traditional retailers. Toys R' Us brought back their popular Buy 1, Get 1 50% off deal. Best Buy is selling off pre-owned units with a free 3rd game when you buy 2. And Target lets you buy two Wii U games and get a third one free.

GameFly continues their "Not So Scary End of the World Sale" with a new batch of PC download games and some activate on Steam. One notable deal is Max Payne 3 for $15, pretty cheap for being released just this summer.

That $12 Mass Effect 3 looks pretty tempting. I'm almost done with 2 (practically suffering in order to get the story). I might as well wrap it all up, more than likely with negative notions due to the apocalyptic explosion from the community. Decent price though, again thank you Escapist for hooking us up with these prices.

Now if only Arena wasn't region locked.

More people would be able to take advantage on that awesome deal. :(

It's great fighter and is a good continuation of the story that I am assuming will be important by the time P5 rolls around.

Persona 4 Arena is an awesome fighter. I heartily recommend this to anyone who likes fighters and good story. Thanks for giving us some good prices, Escapist!

EDIT-

POST 666! >:-D

*sigh* Why does the Escapist love to rub it in my face that Persona 4 Arena was never released in Europe, I probably won't get it when it comes out over here anyway...all my excitement died when it was delayed for a 4th time into next year...

I just got it on this sale. So much fun. :) Just beat Golden so I was soo tempted. Still need to finish P3 even if some major spoilers have been spoiled for me.

I think if you've suffered through that much you might as well finish the installment. Heh...

But in all seriousness I'm in a similar boat. Finished the first two ME and while I have the 3rd one on the desktop... I still haven't gotten around to finishing it. Makes me wonder if I will even want to give Dragon Age 3 a try given how DA 2 went...

The thing is, the shooting, CONSTANT hacking mini-games and neutered RPG elements wouldn't have worn on me if I just did the main missions and dashed towards the Omega 4 Relay. But I'm OCD or whatever so I have to recruit everyone, and make them loyal, and upgrade everything, and 100% all the systems...I can't help it. I think I need to work on that, because even though the compulsion is there I simply don't enjoy 90% of the ancillary stuff.

Oh and Lair of the Shadow Broker spoiler regarding the hacking:

I was almost tempted at the Syndicate deal (Even mediocre cyber-punk is bearable at 5 bucks) but I refuse to support Origin. That Persona deal still sounds good though.

Does anybody know if the amazon.com Hitman Absolution version is playable in Europe?
Man that would be so nice, because I was waiting for such a deal.

Just a heads up, GOG.com have decided to change the name of their sale to something a little more grim in accordance with the "End of the World" stuff realted to the 21st. The sale has changed to the "End Of The World 2012 DRM-Free Sale" with over 21 hours remaining on their timer as of writing. They've listed a whole bunch of package deals, some of which that have been offered previously so if you missed out on those cheaper deals they are available for the next 21 hours. Additionally it hasn't been made clear whether the sale may actually end after the 21 hours rather then on the 3rd of January as previously advertised, so if you want to make use of those deals then now would might end up being the best time.

On a separate note, I find the reason for the name change of their sale really silly.

Edit: Well they went back to the way it was before.
