Remedy Entertainment has kept details for its Alan Wake project scarce, but a minor company announcement promises the game is still moving.
Famous for the M-rated Max Payne franchise that is seeing a movie adaption in the works with Mark Wahlberg, Remedy remains quiet on the development of its original intellectual property Alan Wake. Despite the occasional screenshot or private preview, no major revealing of the game's progress has been shown since its 2005 debut at the Electronic Entertainment Expo.
Until today, it remained unknown whether the game was still in production. However, Remedy Chief Financial Officer and Max Payne manager Mika Reini addressed Alan Wake's forum members with a short reassurance that the team was still working toward a finished project.

We're still here and working hard on getting Alan Wake for you to enjoy. Sure, we've been in development for a long time and if everything had gone perfectly smoothly there probably would be a game out for you guys to play already. But designing a completely new game can be hard, and sometimes you need to take a detour to find the best route forward.
We want to entertain you guys in the best possible way and our team is putting in every effort possible in order for that to happen. That is the way Remedy wants to do things. I'm sure you will enjoy Alan Wake when we're done.
A release date has not yet been announced, and those waiting for its debut can entertain themselves with the Mark Wahlberg collection.

Anyways, it's good to hear, because I desperately need a remedy for this lack of Alan Wake. If you get my drif... no, it's not a very good pun. |

One thing I relly like about Remedy, they do not rush games out. It comes out when it's done, and not a day sooner. Just hoping they keep giving some sneak previews every once in a while. |
