Gone Gonzo Posts: 1293 Joined: 29 Jan 2008 | Well played, Majesco, well played indeed. Might I propose a new title? Presenting Cooking Mama: Prententious A**holes! With over 50 recipes on how to burn and serve self-righteous activist groups, this game is a blast. **Disclaimer: Majesco is in full favour of the humane treatment and embarassment of organizations like PETA** |

Do they really think we wouldn't just wipe out the whole species as soon as we weren't allowed to eat them anymore? They are domesticated, they can't survive in the wild, the only reason they are kept alive is so we can eat them. If everyone was vegetarian (or worse yet Vegan!) we would just kill all of the cows, pigs, chickens and turkeys. If they are vegan then even the egg laying chickens and milk cows would be killed. |

Gone Gonzo Posts: 2065 Joined: 23 Jan 2008 | I'd say PETA got owned, but at this point that's akin to saying they're stupid... Seriously, they just fail at everything. I'm all for animal rights, but even I think someone needs to destroy PETA asap... They do more bad than good. |

ROFL, if we stop killing them to eat them, that's bad because then we kill them. You managed to use the Jimbo and Ned "We have to kill them or they'll die" defense outside of hunting; well done. IF we stop breeding them, then there's no animals to kill. Pretty simple really. Here is the wonderful world of turkey "farming" you all gleefully support: http://www.metacafe.com/watch/346024/butterball_investigation/ |

Occasionally farmers kill animals too. Is Mama a butcher's/farmer's wife? I don't think it's ever been specified... |

That looks DELICIOUS. Seriously, buy a clue and stop hiding behind your strawman argument. No one's supporting Turkey abuse OR farming in particular- we're saying PETA are borderline Eco-Terrorists who use shock value in incredibly poor taste to try and horrify people into believing like they do, making them no less then the demagogues they gleefully compare US to when they analogize the Holocaust and Chicken farming. If animals weren't bred for food death by starvation would become a very real possibility in this country. As it is our poorest come very close. In less developed countries it's much much worse, only the wealthy can really eat and forget eating "healthy" or "vegetarian". Welcome to reality- we VERY MUCH depent on animals to sustain society on the scale it is. |

Garbage. In India, one of the poor countries you talk about, the majority of people are vegetarian. Raising animals for food is far less efficient than using the same resources to raise vegan food. It also contributes 18% of all global greenhouse gases, pollutes the environment and contributes to obesity, cancer, heart disease, stroke and diabetes. |

Slaughterhouse workers kill animals. Butchers cut them up. |

Who saying borderline? They ARE Eco-Terrorists. Please. You wanna be vegan? Fine, I don't care. Knock yourself out. But don't commit terrorist acts when people don't 'see' things 'your way'. |

Then I remember the golden rule of terrorist groups; whenever one of their own gets their due justice at the business end of an assault rifle, that someone becomes a "martyr" and the good guys are painted as murderous monsters. Can we throw Newkirk into one of those secret Eastern European torture chamber prisons? Please? |
Infamous Scribbler Posts: 607 Joined: 4 Sep 2008 | I would love to see Majesco turn the tables on PETA - Imagine if in their latest game some jerk is trying to steal ingredients (because it's made from an animal! OMG!), and one of your goals is to get the PETA members to eat and like meat. THAT would be awesome. |
