Wow... I don't even know how to respond to this lastest round of antics from PETA.

I do. Blow to the back of the head, then with some gaffer tape and a tazer gun, the problem is solved.

Don't forget the pack of hungry pigs.

Yeah, that was a good movie.

I still say they should do something about all the animals killed during crop harvest and left to rot, than about the animals that are made into food.

Oh, and meat rules. No plants taste as good as meat. :p

I think the way PETA compares animals in slaughterhouses to victims in WW2 concentration camps is far more disgusting than anything we meat eaters could ever do.

I played this entire game and it actually made me want to make thanksgiving with a turkey and I used to be a vegetarian.... I don't think their plan worked... that or maybe I'm just twisted.

i wonder why i'm bothering to throw my hat into this three-ring circus.
being a vegetarian, i gave a speech yesterday that promoted the idea of tolerance from both sides. PETA is run by a bunch of lunatics who think that their extreme measures actually accomplish something. they should stick to promoting better farming conditions for animals and less gluttonous tendencies instead of trying to convince people that they should give up meat altogether. that is just plain ignorant. the same goes with smokers - just because i don't smoke, doesn't mean i think you shouldn't be able to (just not in my face).
it goes both ways - you aren't going to sway a vegetarian to eat meat by sending them burgers in the mail or whatever. everyone hardens up when put under pressure to do something they don't want to. if someone tried to force feed me meatloaf, i'd probably go down on their mother, videotape it, and slip it into their porn collection to completely ruin their pleasure.

i think the major issue here that everyone is failing to recognize is:
THIS IS A STUPID GAME SERIES. WHO REALLY CARES ABOUT VIRTUAL COOKING.

I hope for spite's sake, Majesco makes their next game a complete meat-buffet like "Cooking Mama: BBQ Delight". Fuck militant vegetarians/vegans and PETArds. If they're going to force vegetarianism down our throats, I say we force carnivorism down theirs.

Join with me brothers and sisters, let us kidnap these freedom-hating fundamentalists and give them a taste of their own medicine. Project Force Feed Meatloaf to a Vegetarian begins now!

where can i join?

I have yet to see any organization that behaves more like a terrorist group than PETA.

The KKK and Weather Underground come to mind.
Seriously, all PETA does is make bad flash games and through fake blood at people. That's not terrorism, that's just being annoying.

What I find really bothering are the vegans/vegetarians who are so damn polite. It makes me feel really guilty for finishing my hamburger.

Yeah I guess you're right. Calling them terrorists seems to cheapen the concept of terrorism itself. PETA isn't worth that level of attention.

Well the sign up sheet is this thread, funding is a little tight this year so you have to provide your own meatloaf, but we can definitely find you the vegetarian. There's more than enough of them here, after all.

Thank you for stepping in. We're not here to berate vegetarians, that's just the side-dish. (Ho Ho)

Most of us 'evil' meat-eaters actually agree with the idea of not torturing defenceless animals. Hell, my cat keeps me on a very strict leash. The problem is that PETA, by all it's activities, are hurting the idea of being a vegetarian.

Don't like meat? Fine. Don't like cruelty? Fine.

Inflicting your views on others through murder, hypocrisy and death threats? Really not fine.

Twisting how other people see the thoroughly decent vegetarians or animal lovers? Also not fine.

Khell and others probably don't have half as much hatred towards PETA as PETA has for people who actually care for animals. And it's some of the neutrals, like yourself, who are likely to get hit from either side.

I often wonder how a lot of these militant PETA types would react to being stranded in the woods alone or some similar survival situation (a la Les Stroud of Survivorman). I can see a portion going completely ravenous in the name of surviving while the other half starve, not out of principle, but out of spite. I personally don't know, I'd probably eat fish first, and see what the situation would evolve into.

And they refuse to see that they are doing more harm than good. They are preaching to the converted, their scare tactics aren't going to change those who love their meat simply incite them to take up ridiculous campaigns of their own, and the more sympathetic types are going to wonder just what exactly they are trying to accomplish by complaining about VIRTUAL COOKING VIDEO GAMES. I mean, if they want to do something dumb, go dump pig's blood on Rachel Ray to get attention.

Dammit, all this talk of meat is making me HUNGRY. That picture of a burger that Novajam posted on page one (my favorite fast-food burger, no less!) is just too much. Well, I do have a couple of hot dogs (mmm, mechanically separated chicken...) in the fridge.
