Yeah, that was a good movie. I still say they should do something about all the animals killed during crop harvest and left to rot, than about the animals that are made into food. Oh, and meat rules. No plants taste as good as meat. :p |

Yeah I guess you're right. Calling them terrorists seems to cheapen the concept of terrorism itself. PETA isn't worth that level of attention. |

Well the sign up sheet is this thread, funding is a little tight this year so you have to provide your own meatloaf, but we can definitely find you the vegetarian. There's more than enough of them here, after all. |

Thank you for stepping in. We're not here to berate vegetarians, that's just the side-dish. (Ho Ho) Most of us 'evil' meat-eaters actually agree with the idea of not torturing defenceless animals. Hell, my cat keeps me on a very strict leash. The problem is that PETA, by all it's activities, are hurting the idea of being a vegetarian. Don't like meat? Fine. Don't like cruelty? Fine. Inflicting your views on others through murder, hypocrisy and death threats? Really not fine. Twisting how other people see the thoroughly decent vegetarians or animal lovers? Also not fine. Khell and others probably don't have half as much hatred towards PETA as PETA has for people who actually care for animals. And it's some of the neutrals, like yourself, who are likely to get hit from either side. |

I often wonder how a lot of these militant PETA types would react to being stranded in the woods alone or some similar survival situation (a la Les Stroud of Survivorman). I can see a portion going completely ravenous in the name of surviving while the other half starve, not out of principle, but out of spite. I personally don't know, I'd probably eat fish first, and see what the situation would evolve into. And they refuse to see that they are doing more harm than good. They are preaching to the converted, their scare tactics aren't going to change those who love their meat simply incite them to take up ridiculous campaigns of their own, and the more sympathetic types are going to wonder just what exactly they are trying to accomplish by complaining about VIRTUAL COOKING VIDEO GAMES. I mean, if they want to do something dumb, go dump pig's blood on Rachel Ray to get attention. |

That picture of a burger that Novajam posted on page one (my favorite fast-food burger, no less!) is just too much. Well, I do have a couple of hot dogs (mmm, mechanically separated chicken...) in the fridge. |
