Like with Nintendo Fans, The PS3 doesn't have what it used to have more than shooters; RPGS. JRPG to be more specific. While it does have a few, some were ports of the 360 version. Now they focus mostly on shooters. Trying to compete with Microsoft when it comes to shooters. This Generation of gaming isn't turning out to be a good one. So far, it seems that Microsoft is the only one doing it right. That's my opinion on it at least.
Thsi year will be good in the English market for JRPG's on the PS3, WKC and FFXIII (Versus if it gets out) at the minimum.
We got VC this year, and I still say Folklore is a great RPG game, We got Disgaea.

Resistance 1 & 2, Valkyria Chronicles, Metal Gear Solid 4, Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction, Uncharted:Drake's Fortune, Ninja Gaiden Sigma(port yes I know),Warhawk, BUZZ Quiz TV. That's a lot of good games for the PS3.
Disgaea and Folklore I have never tried so I can't say it's awesome. LittleBIGPlanet was a big disappointment (to me) and I love platformers more than anything(That and my friend had told me that if I compare to Super Mario Bros 3 and Super Mario 64, then I'd love it. Big mistake lol). Infamous is a game I can't wait to try.

Oh I know they happened. I just know enough to fail to be impressed with their current efforts. They are like children when they lose a game and then claim they weren't really playing in the first place, just to feel better about themselves. That and the way Sony seems to delight in take long pisses on their customers whenever they get the chance (I know from personal experience).
See I never got this one, what did Sony DO to you people, my consoles allways worked, hell my PS1 still works, my games never got broken, and I have plenty of Exclusives and Multi-Console games on my PS3.

Thing is, Sony caters to different people than Microsoft or Nintendo. I happen to be in the "frat-boy" demographic, apparently. I like the selection of XBox 360 games more than the PS3 selection or the Wii selection. It's just personal taste. Just because I don't care much for the PS3 game selection right now doesn't mean I hate Sony or have had my head buried in the sand for the last year. I just prefer the 360. I like DOA 4, I like Mass Effect (PC game as well, but as far as consoles go, it's 360 exclusive), Dead Rising, Fallout 3 after the 360 exclusive DLC...it's just personal taste. If you get offended by it, calm down.
Edit: Though I do dislike some of Sony's past business ethics. For example...all of these. And for all of you people ragging on the 360 for failure rate... at least they don't explode.

Basically, when my original "slim" PS2's disc reading laser went kaput after a year, customer service basically said that because my warranty was expired, I would have to pay them shipping charges and repair costs to fix it. Eventually, I managed to fix it myself for about $5. They would have charged me over a hundred for something that was their fault.

I heard there was an error, but my one broke because I didn't turn it off for a good month, I mean my original launch PS1 still works, even after it recently fell off the desk, so I'm a lucky guy.

If you haven't realized this yet Sony, Nintendo is kicking your bloody ass because they brought in a buttload of non-gamers into the fold. Nintendo is also working on adding a lot more complexity to future Wii games (and possibly their next console).

The dubious value assessment aside I just don't understand why Sony would make a statement like this.
It's a proven fact that consumers don't respond to aggressive and defensive statements / marketing strategies like this. Telling people they are stupid for considering the competition does not calculate to attracting consumers.
Microsoft learned this lesson with the RROD scandal, and now they replace any Xbox hit with the affliction. If Sony would just back off of the "we are teh awesome" and admit their price point might be a little high, they'd earn so much consumer credibility, I bet they'd be able to close the gap between themselves and the xbox.
I would also like to point out dollar value isn't set solely in the overall price, the fact that you can pick and choose your xbox features and purchase them in manageable small components is a type of value in itself. example: I do not own a projector at this point because bulbs for them cost an excessive amount. the projector my buddy owns operates on standard 100 watt bulbs. The projector bulbs last 10x as long, making them cumulatively cheaper. But my buddy can walk out the door and drop the coin for a pack of 100 watts any time at all, and he can afford to pick up more than one back up in a purchase, giving him more value for his projector.
They are smart enough to compare ps3 with a 360 arcade console where they add a HD later. If they compare an elite or "pro" version of 360, then they don't have that much to say about the price. Also it comes with a headset and both hdmi and component cables. But whatever.

I don't understand, Blu-Ray isn't going to the 360, if you mean it winning the format war, that happened a long time ago to, I.E. Betamix losing to VHS, it still allows for the growth of evolution.
As for the consoles? The next generation will be better, I simply believe that based on competition, of course the reverse could happen and all consoles go the way of the Wii (I mean Shovelware Gallore not that there aren't good games)

I'll be frank. Blu-Ray is not going to overtake DVD anytime soon. Blu-Ray came way too soon. DVDs came along at a time when VHS was a long established format. Many people were ready for a change. Blu-Ray comes along just when DVD was getting settled in as the only format.
Thsi year will be good in the English market for JRPG's on the PS3, WKC and FFXIII (Versus if it gets out) at the minimum.
We got VC this year, and I still say Folklore is a great RPG game, We got Disgaea.
