GTA Online Stimulus Package Delayed Further

GTA Online Stimulus Package Delayed Further

Rockstar Games will distribute the first part of two stimulus package payments only once all of the bugs are taken care of.

For many GTA Online players, the game has caused more chaos for them than they have had on the multiplayer world. Rockstar Games previously said to compensate for all of the frustration, it would deposit $250,000 in everyone's in-game bank account by the end of this week. The week is almost over, and Rockstar Games tweeted it would have information on the stimulus package payments soon.

In comments on a Rockstar newswire post, the company wrote, "We thank you for your understanding and patience and please stay tuned this week for more information including timing of the first GTA$ Stimulus Package deposit and the forthcoming new content such as the Beach Bum Pack, Content Creator and Heists." The company also wrote later, "We just need to make sure any loss of game progress issues are totally fixed before we distribute the cash and we are working hard to do that."

The latest title update addresses issues where vehicles disappeared. It also fixes issues of incorrect car replacements, exploits where players could sell one car multiple times, duplicated vehicles, inability to pay utility bills, and many others. Rockstar Games is still working on fixing a few remaining issues, but there would be little use in distributing the cash if there were possibilities of game glitches causing that cash to disappear.

Utility bills, stock market, stimulus package...next thing ya know Rockstar will have an in-game VA with filework so backed up it runs the risk of collapsing the building it's stored in. Will players get to vote on the in-game healthcare system? Will it be single-payer or website exchange? I predict that GTA 6 will be a better Sims than Sims.

Funny you should mention that, one of the other things from the last title update was reducing the maximum cost of an ER visit from $2k to $500, but cut the mission payouts in half. So... pretty realistic, lol.

Well with Arkham Origins out, I'm not going to be playing GTA Online again for quite a while...which is good, considering it seems that it's going to be quite a while before there's a reason to play it again.

Rockstar, sucking the fun out of games. I mean seriously who says "guy guys, I know what we should do. You need money to have fun in real life, so lets make it so that you need money to have fun in GTA Online!"

Originally the money was promised at the beginning of last week as an apology for all of the save issues and whatnot. So, if we're owed $500,000 as an apology for putting up with a rocky few weeks to start, where's our additional $500,000 as an apology for the rocky few weeks of waiting for our $500,000 apology? ;-)

that will come out with the heist content. Made available Oct. 1st 2014 for $64.95.

Honestly at this point it wouldn't surprise me. Rockstar has pretty much made the only thing that kept me playing into something that wastes more money than running around in free roam itself.

It really does seem like they just want people to do races, TDM/DM, and Last Team Standing instead of, you know, playing cooperatively with friends like what the missions allowed for.

But this isn't the worst of it all. The world records on races? the ones that are blatantly obvious the person glitched? the 1 second ones?

Rockstar said they are staying and they will never be reset.

so obviously Rockstar says it's okay to glitch in their game, unless that glitch gives you money of course.
