Pokemon X/Y Soundtrack Captured on iTunes

Pokemon X Y Soundtrack

Pokemon X and Y's catchy tunes can now be downloaded straight to your Pokedex - or at least your iPod.

The Pokemon series has given us some seriously catchy music over the years, but it's usually hard to find those tunes in a convenient package. Well, no more - The Pokemon Company just released the Pokemon X & Pokemon Y: Super Music Collection on iTunes. The collection covers 3.5 hours of music across more than 200 songs, along with some bonus tracks.

This is the first time Pokemon has worked with Apple to get its earworms onto iTunes, but there's more where this came from. Fans of Pokemusic will be glad to hear that additional soundtracks are in the works, and by next year you'll be able to find just about any song from any Pokemon game on Apple's music store. Digital soundtracks have been announced for FireRed/LeafGreen, HeartGold/SoulSilver, Ruby/Sapphire, Diamond/Pearl, and Black/White 1 and 2.

The Super Music Collection has a few bonus goodies, too. The album includes a "battle game music track" from the upcoming Pokemon Origins anime series, plus five special bonus tracks from Pokemon Red and Blue, courtesy of their original composer Shota Kageyama.

The Pokemon X & Pokemon Y: Super Music Collection is available now on iTunes for $10. Of course, you can also buy individual tracks a la carte for a dollar apiece, but if you've gotta catch 'em all, 212 tracks for ten bucks isn't a bad deal.

Aaaand I just bought the Xerneas theme and the Elite Four theme. Debating whether or not I want Professor Sycamore's theme, too.

No thanks. X/Y's soundtrack was the most bland of the series with the exception of the Elite Four and Team Flare tracks. White 2/Black 2 and Heart Gold/Soul Silver do sound appealing though.

Aw, no plan for complete collections of Red/Blue/Yellow and Gold/Silver/Crystal to be put up? Phooey.

Granted, I wouldn't be able to get them anyway, but when the time comes I'd like to be able to get 'em all.

I think Nintendo might be using this as a test to see if they should release game OSTs they have on iTunes.
Please let that be the case, since buying the actual OSTs for games, especially Nintendo ones, is more expensive then the actual games themselves.

I mean heck I've seen some OSTs so high in price that it would be cheaper to just buy some recording equipment and record and create the songs yourself.
Still gonna grab some of these songs myself, but for some reason I kept on hearing songs in the game that sounded really similar to the soundtrack in Dark Moon...

Yeah... This is a no-brainer for me... I'm buying this in hopes that the other [better] Pokemon OSTs would follow as well... Plus, it's $10 for 200+ songs... Someone like me would jump on something like that without thinking things through...

Bring me more Pokemon music... I must have them all... for a reasonable downloadable price, since it will cost too much to get all of them in a physical copy anyway... (which makes me sad, kind of...)

Well, you gotta catch all dem tunes.

Also, this is such a yes! yes! scenario for me that my wallet is looking spontaneously less happy now.

I am somewhat tempted, Team Flare and the Gym battle theme were catchy!

The X and Y legendary battle theme is one of my favorite video game soundtracks now, so of course I'll buy that one for sure.

Or you know- you can pay for it and encourage Nintendo to put more OST up so we don't have to go through shady websites to get them.
