Android Vs. Apple: Who Watches Which Porn?

Android Vs. Apple: Who Watches Which Porn?

If you can put down your phone for a few minutes, you'll see SugarDVD just released the porn-viewing habits of its mobile users.

It's one of the simplest truths of our modern world: If you design a new technology, someone will find a way to watch porn on it. Mobile technologies are no exception, especially with all the apps that let you watch on the go (and contribute to some awkward moments on public transportation). But according to SugarDVD, those mobile technologies are more significant than you'd expect - 70% of the porn distributor's traffic go to mobile and non-PC accounts. That's right folks: Those Apple versus Android debates are taking a "How can I pay for this pizza" direction.

SugarDVD recently presented its statistics through a new infographic, and there are significant differences between Android and Apple markets. First of all, Apple users watch porn well into the night - usually from 11pm to 3am - compared to Android's reasonable evening hours. While there's no stated winner in overall hours, Android fanboys do "last longer" than iOS brethren by a whole 4.2 minutes.

But perhaps the most interesting details? The actual video categories that Android and Apple users are watching. If you have an iPhone, the odds are much higher it's been downloading lesbian porn. And if you prefer Android? Well... you're probably all about that bass.

Of course, the suggestion that mobile devices account for 70% of porn traffic isn't surprising - these days most people don't want to leave traces on their PCs for someone else to find. If you're interested, you can check out the full infographic here (in a safe for work page, thankfully).

The only thing that proves is that mobile users are more likely to be suckers and pay for porn by using sugar dvd.

In the modern digital age, who still pays for regular porn?

Yes, but which mobile users watch suckers?

"If you can put down your phone for a few minutes, you'll see SugarDVD just released the porn-viewing habits of its mobile users."

But I'm reading this on my phone...

They probably release these stats (both this set and categories like the console set from a while ago) just to tell people "hey, you can watch porn on these!" Savvy users know that "everything with a cpu can run DooM" can be easily swapped with "everything with a cpu can display pron" Savvy users also know they don't need this one specific streaming service to do the pornski. (Creepy ones probably have a list of sites, so they leave no bookmarks for someone to find even with private browsing.)

Also, insert obligatory "he fixes the cable" joke from The Big Lebowski here.

I remember when I moved to a new apartment about two years ago, there was no internet there and for two weeks I had to use my phone (android) if I wanted to watch any porn (I could do most of my other online viewing at work). It was horrible. I don't see why anyone would do this if they have any choice in the matter...

While this is interesting, I'm more curious about which of the two groups watches more 3D porn.

Don't worry. Those two links are SFW.

You realize that if people didn't pay for porn, then porn would stop being produced? (At least professionally)

It always bugs me when people look down on those who pay for content. It's because of them that there is content to begin with.

You mean no new iteration of "chick gets it while making annoying sounds and faces while the camera lingers extremely close to faces 80% of the time" would be made and we would need to make do with an archive large enough to fill the lifetime of the entire world population 2 times over and with the tons over tons over tons over tons of people who make porn for free?
Good grief!

As Loa pointed out, there exists an archive of biblical proportions of free porn, and a lot of it is on the same shoe-string budget and features the same visuals/concept, which begs the question: how do these people make money?
Just like Youtube does, Advertisements. :P
Unlike Youtube, however, they're not exactly picky about what advertisements are allowed on the page, so they take on anyone who is willing to pay.

That said, there IS porn that you have to pay for to view besides the websites that offer the same kinda thing as described above, but these tend to be drawn or animated features often inhabiting a niche that's small enough to justify payment for it's demand.

Professional porn still does and always will exist, the method of payment has just changed from credit cards to advertisements.

Wait a minute, wait a minute- you don't want to leave traces of porn on your PC, which is presumably back at home, safely secured, but you're perfectly willing to put traces of it on the device you carry around with you everywhere you go which is small, portable, and unbelievably easy to steal? Heck, forget about stealing; if you just put it down and forget to pick it up again, what kind of good Samaritan (if you'll pardon the phrase) is going to dive through it trying to find you when the first they're told about you is your porn preferences? I can't help but think that whole idea would backfire horribly.

Actually, it's a great idea. You can have a lot more privacy with the smaller screen and portability of the devices. On top of that, it's pretty damn hard to get a virus from a bad ad or script loading in the background on a phone.

So, which of the two groups hangs out on FIctionmania more?

I love confirmations like these that we live in a nation hypocrites. It's like the people who post comments on the internet are Roleplaying as Amish whenever it comes to the subject of relieving one of the most basic hormonal needs that all mammals evolved with. Then out comes statistics like this which flips all that on its head. God Bless America!

And no this doesn't mean porn watching went down on PC either... it just means that way more ppl are dong it now who didn't have easy access to it previously

I enjoy watching big bootied lesbians. So what's a third option? Windows phone? Never mind then, I'll stick to my Android for now.
