| Street Fighter: The Debit Card
Capcom has partnered with Visa to produce a special Capcom branded debit card that'll grant cardholders special access to all sorts of exclusive Capcom goodies.
Funny that Capcom, just as it prepares to release much-anticipated Street Fighter IV, should decide to unveil another business venture so far removed from that event and so comparatively insignificant, but here it is anyway: the Capcom Unity Card, a debit card which comes in Resident Evil 5, Bionic Commando and Street Fighter IV flavors and offers access to a variety of cardholders-only Capcom treats.
Unity Card owners get access to closed beta tests, free downloads, special merchandise, invitations to launch parties, and even the ability to cut lines at major events like Comic Con, just like all those hotshot VIPs and members of the press.
Once you've plunked down $9.95 for the card and then a $10 initial deposit, you'll have to pay $4.95 a month. You can only deposit up to $2,500 a day and have a balance ceiling of $5,000. Cardholders can also earn half-percent cash-back on every day spending. The card is usable anywhere that accepts Visa, but is especially handy when used on the Capcom Store, where it counts for a 15% discount on all purchases. Capcom describes the card as a "checking account on steroids."
Screaming Shoryuken! every time you swipe at the grocery store is optional, but highly recommended.

Can I EX this technique? |
| Makes me want it... I wish my parents would let me... Sadly, I'm not terribly good with money. |

Yes. You can also Focus Attack Dash Cancel to get cash back! |
| Why would a debit card have a cap? Are you sure it isn't a credit card? Just makes me wonder because a debit card with a cap doesn't make much sense to me because most debit cards are linked to a bank account, normally a checking account. Which makes me wonder what is this card linked to? Which bank is sponsering this? |

It's not a credit card, and it's not tied to any banks. It's just Capcom and Visa, and it works like a "virtual checking account."
Here's what Capcom says:
Capcom: Q: Is this a credit card? A: Not in the traditional sense of a Visa Check Card, no. There is no separate checking account associated with your card. Think of it as a virtual checking account, or a checking account on steroids. Like a checking account, you can spend money that you "load" or "deposit" onto your card. Unlike a checking account, there are no paper checks for you to write. Unlike a checking account, there is no hand-written check register, where you might forget to record a transaction... your check register is electronic and automatically records every transaction, so there are no "oops" fees.

| Then that sounds like a personal GIFT CARD! |
| Haha this makes me think of the Bat credit card XD
The only thing doing justice to owning such an unneccesary gimmick is maybe using it to prepare lines |
| I want one but I may just stick a Ryu sticker over my Lloyds TSB card :) Can someone confirm if this is US only, seeing as Visa is accepted in the UK I cant see why I cant get one.
EDIT: Ignore that, looked through the application form and you do indeed need to be a US resident. /dream. |
