You don't know what "SJW" means, do you?

Yeah. I thought the SJWs were supposed to be againest Naked Titties in games. I don't know what SJW is even supposed to mean. It's just a word people love to throw around because it's something they don't like, it seems.

Much like "Political Correctness" and honestly I don't know what that word is supposed to mean either.

I could be wrong, but I suspect that the SJW aspect is rooted in a narrative that sees BJ needing to be saved from Nazis by a pregnant woman.

Bingo bango. It doesn't matter that

Also for some reason killing Nazis is "too political" now.

Personally, I would need waaay more context before I concurred with that idea- I mean, in a game with over-the-top moments, why not this too?- but if it annoyed B-Cell, then so be it.

Oh, BJ has to save her probably about 12-1. Even that scene its more a case of her shooting first rather then actually saving him due to any necessity. Anya and BJ both kind of look like terrible people for sending her out on the missions while pregnant when they literally have a crew of 30 odd people, possibly more.

. What's the "SJW crap"

the anaya scene where

most cringe worthy scene ever.

...Uh. A woman stripping is SJW stuff now? Do I have that right? Is Dead or Alive Extreme Beach Volleyball a SJW game?

Also we have Doom and we have Wolfenstein. I like both. I see no reason to make Wolfenstein into another Doom when we already have Doom, that mindset is what led to everyone chasing Call of Duty and gave us shit like Medal of Honor Warfighter.

So yeah, sounds pretty over the top then, to me. Do you enjoy the Wolfenstein games in general? Are you enjoying this game so far?

I think my personal peeve in games, at least in single player action or FPS, is getting 'saved' myself, often in a scripted event, or an unavoidable trap scenario (the example of Half Life 2 immediately comes to mind). No matter the saviour, having my agency taken from me in a game really cheeses me. It happens a lot, too...

i mean make wolfenstein like wolfenstein. not call of wolfenstein that newer games are.

wolfenstein like RTCW and id software would have pulled it right. wolfenstein need crazy sci fi elements like creatures, zombies etc.

....You did get to the part in the New Order where we destroy a bridge where a floating ball of death that was created by a secret society of Jewish super scientists right?

Or the part in London where we use laser beams to destroy the giant Nazi death robot that was designed from the same template the aforementioned Jewish super scientists had?

I have not seen these type of scenes in new order

Interesting how the RPGCodexers are much more critical of this linear 40 percent story 60 percent gameplay shooter with crappy stealth crouching parts.

You're not taking them seriously are you? Their main criticism is that you fight on the wrong side.

Uh, no, they're making fun of those people like everybody else, from what I saw.

...Dude, that second one's not sci-fi. That's fantasy. And if you want fantasy, play Wolfenstien the Old Blood

As for the first one, there's a pretty similar type of guy in the first game. The only real difference is that he was armor and has something below his torso.

I actually don't really have a lot of history with Wolfenstein, to be honest. I played a bit of 3D when I was younger, but I hadn't even played The New Order until this one came out.

But I can compare it with The New Order, at least, and in that regard I think it stands up fine so far. It didn't really fix some of the smaller annoyances from the previous game like needing to scrounge around smashing your pickup button to grab health and armor and ammo; they tried to make it so that you pick them up by running over them too, but the radius for that is so small that you literally need to run directly on top of them, so you're more likely to be spending your time staring at the floor trying to find them anyway.

Weapon variety sadly is lacking, too. Most of the guns just come back from the previous game, and you still can only use heavy weapons after you get them from enemies or occasionally find them in a level. All of the guns have their own upgrades this time around, though, and they do all feel fairly useful in different situations.

As far as everything else goes, I think it's a pretty cool game. I love how much there is to explore, both in the levels and even just in your between-mission hub, the actual shooting mechanics are just as good as The New Order, the stealth works just fine (which I mention mostly because it's a small marvel that a game which primarily focuses on direct action but has some stealth too actually manages to do that stealth well and makes it a viable alternative in many sections of the game), and the story and spectacle definitely take things up to 11 in comparison to TNO. There have been a few spots of the game where I found there was something of a difficulty spike that I thought was pretty bullshit, but that happened a few times in TNO and it's not uncommon with shooters as a whole, unfortunately.

I would be remiss to not mention that the PC version seems rather unstable, though. It just crashes straight up on me if I try turning the image quality up too high, it's had a few random crashes here and there, and just a few minutes ago it actually just locked up when I was trying to exit the game, to the point that I couldn't even switch out of the window to get into Task Manager and close it, so I had to start signing out of my profile to forcibly close the program. It's a shame, too. I can handle graphical bugs and glitches, weird clipping and awkward collision, even some choppy performance, but actual instability is one of the most frustrating things for me.

Er. I'm focusing on the negatives a bit but that's mostly because when it comes down to it, it has most of the same pros and cons as The New Order did. If you liked that game and you don't mind the ridiculousness being ramped up quite a bit further, then odds are you'll like The New Colossus as well. Personally, I thought The New Order was a damn fine shooter and it's been quite a while since I really got into one, so having more of that is good for me.

B-Cell:

Or course you haven't, that'd require playing it. You know whats literally 5 seconds before the cutscene with the pregnant lady you're all atwist about is fighting two giant robots on the deck of a helicarrier with an actual BFG (Though I personally I found it was better to use the mech walker and the smaller laser gun or the rocket launcher (which you get by upgrading the grenade pistol if anyone was wondering)).

The general gist seems to be that you want WW2 themed Doom or Shadow Warrior. Your citation that that is the "true" Wolfenstein experience is based on one game around the middle of a 10 Game/30 year franchise that mostly followed that mold. The recent games are literally closer to what you're asking for then the first half of the franchise was (I mean, if we go to the "original" experience, its a pure stealth game)

For those asking about the supposed "SJW" bent of Wolf 2, I've seen two main complaints:

1) Killing Nazis is political...or something. The idea that the game has a political bent and is demonizing Neo-Nazis, white nationalists, whites in general...or something. I really don't get this one.

2) The game's mission packs have you play as characters other than BJ, and some of these characters are black and/or female. Ergo, the game is SJW...or something.

Like I said, I really don't get the mindsets of some people.
