If some of you remember, back in the day I've made a post asking you all for advice on best PS1 Games(http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/9.82188#1113720). I've also promised you all a full list of those games in the end. Unfortunately I've been buried under a pile of college assignments since than and never got to it. Now that I've done with finals and have some free time (and boredom and nostalgia are back) I've decided to get to it.

I hope this will be helpful to all old school enthusiast out there. I arranged them all based on game type and in alphabetical order.

Now than. Without Further delay... Ladies and Gentleman, I present to you the list of PS1 titles recommended by the Escapist's community!:

Feel free to add feedback and comment. Correct me if you feel that I've placed a game in the wrong category.

Fixed a few typos.
Fixed a few arrangement issues.
Put Final Fantasy in BOLD so that people stop asking where it is. >.<

What was the game where set up traps to kill the baddies? "something's" Deception. I kinda liked that one. (although the second one sucked)

I would've added Silhouette Mirage and Thunder Force V, but other than that, this is a pretty good list.

Also, it's actually "Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain." All subsequent Nosgoth titles placed "L.o.K." first, but not Blood Omen.

EDIT: Where's FF7?

EDIT x2: I'm forced to correct myself: neither of the Blood Omen games placed LoK first. The Soul Reaver games did (SR, SR2, Defiance).

I will consider adding it to the list. I do take suggestions, just don't name things that are already there.

Sorry to prod so much about it.

I see Wild 9 up there. Now that was a sadistic and fun game. I have so few games on that list.

And if you are going to separate the Final Fantasy, be sure to add Tactics, though it would seem easier to just put series after it. Every Final Fantasy has seen port to the PS1.

Just like with Final Fantasy before that, numbers do not matter. I've listed the name of the Series if it has more than 1 game and most/all of them were recommended.

Its there. Look in the (Plat) section. Right at the top of it.

ah, yes. that game was brilliant:)

More importantly, it was FUN! The controls were brand new for the genre and worked very well. Somehow they also got the camera to behave so that I wouldn't spend hours fiddling with it to try and get it where I wanted it to go.

It is the best platformer of the PS1 hands down!
