How about giving Fallout back it's dirty balls that have been cut off in the 3rd game.
i heard they're making a new one called fallout: new vegas, so im assuming they're planning on making it take place in las vegas
Idea number 1: Not made by Bethesda. On a more serious note, I'd gladly see something like Vault City from F2. You know, a Fallout-universe location which is not a hellhole at first sight (granted, VC turned out to be less pleasant, but still...)? As much as I grew accustomed to the brownish-grey Wasteland from previous Fallout games, it would be nice to see more varied environs.
This is win. Idea 2, make it done by Interplay.
I wouldn't mind seeing it set in a completely urban landscape like New York City, or maybe even somewhere that isn't America? The ruins of Tokyo or Paris would be cool to explore...
I do like the Obilvian/ Fallout games. However they feel like a lot of copy and paste. What I wouldn't mind seeing though is playing as the bad guys. I want to be the one who caused the catastrophic destruction in Fallout. Or play as the Daedric. Now I know you can choose to be evil or good via my actions, but before I even play I have picked whether or not I want to play good or evil. Why can't I start that way? If I want to be bad it should show me being birthed by some spawn of hell, so to say. I mean if I grow up in a good home and all that it doesn't really make sense why I turned to evil. However if I was born to it, everyone is like well its the up bringing. It feels more natural.
o rly! | |
I have a feeling if they did a NY version it would be like The Pitt or Arctic Thunder.
Don't have to imagine Fallout 4. Fallout: New Vegas will be out next year made by Obsidian Entertainment. Hopefully it will be akin to something like Knights of the Old Republic. That would be awesome.
London with a 1920s feel.
But Fallout is about America.
My guess is it'll take place in a post-nuclear war environment.
It's been announced, I don't need to imagine it.
Hmm... that would certainly be a change for the franchise.
Just try and imagine the twisted wreckage...it would be unreal.
+50 to level cap? Woot. | |
Fallout 3 is an incredible game, i have sunk a ridiculous amount of hours into it.
But what if there were, like, mutants, or something?
I'd like to see better RPG mechanics, including the return of "traits". By this I mean things like having real differences between character builds (science guy, diplomat, sniper, etc.), rather than being able to make a jack of all trades character no matter how you start out. Hopefully they'll improve on the main quest, which was poor. The fact that they changed the ending in one of the expansions speaks volumes to me. I'd also like them to slightly change the combat, a lot of the weapons seemed really weak due to having to empty a clip into the head of a supermutant to kill it. Despite this, I never felt in any danger in the game, since I could also take vast amounts of hits.
No, its about the cold-war and the consequences of it. We have only seen it from the point of view of America at this point. A bit about China too.
You're hired. | |
I wouldn't have Bethesda touch Fallout anymore. Aren't Obsidian taking over for the next game - New Vagas I believe?
I've put in over 200 hours into Fallout 3 so far, and my only real complaint is the freaking Metro tunnels. Seriously. How many of those things do I have to hack my way through? They're the only part that really became repetitive and irritating. Las Vegas would be a great setting! I think urban would be too confusing and repetitive (endless corridors of smashed buildings). Maybe a longer plot-line, too? I felt like the plot only took up about 1/20th of the gameplay time due to my obsessive need to discover EVERYTHING.
Was Bethesda going to make that, though? Seems to me I heard that the original Fallout company (whose name I have shamelessly forgotten now) was doing FO:NV.
As long as they stay away from turn based shenanigins, im in. Ooooh the guys that are making it are responsible for fallout 1 & 2 (too keep the fanboys happy) but working with bethesday (woot!)
Fourout? | |
I have it on good authority the new fallout will take place after a catastrophic nuclear war.
Wow, people really hate Bethesda, don't they?
I would like to see; | |
Black Isle Studios is out of business. Interplay shut them down and most of the team moved to either Troika (also defunct) or Obsidian Entertainment. You'll be happy to hear that Obsidian Entertainment, which is most of the original Fallout crew, is making Fallout: New Vegas. This is sort of the basic notion that giving it back to Interplay won't exactly result in anything good. The PEOPLE that made it good no longer work there. Interplay is just a name, names don't create quality, people do.
I guess that's what I was thinking of. Anyway, that's good to hear. It'll be a throwback to the "good ol Fallout" that the nostalgia fans crave, while hopefully taking at least some new tricks from Bethesda's Fallout 3. (Which I thoroughly enjoy)
I really wanted the next fallout to be in pittsburgh but that got trashed by dlc so the whole las vegas thing sounds cool. I am however having a hard time picturing post apocalyptic desert.
Can fallout 4 be good? Can it be by a different company? If bethesda is making it, it's gonna be equally bad as 3. If bethesda let's someone else make it then it might stand a chance of actually being good.

Not saying its coming out, just think about it though it takes place in new york this time.
come up with your own ideas for the game, anything just post it in a comment.
