"Soap" "The Muppet" MacTavish has the highest kill streak known of any character known in the Call of Duty series.

Soap, cleaning the streets of enemy territory one germ of a terrorist at a time.

There are many cool characters throughout the history of the industry, but if it is epic you are looking for, I would say Kaim Argonar from Lost Odyssey. As Kaim Argonar is an immortal, in the first ten minutes he kills an entire armyworth of soldiers, destroys a huge mech, and survives a volcanic explosion.

Master chief, just to piss you off. Also, naming a character from a developing game is a rather sketchy answer seeing as you haven't played the game at all. Last time I checked, basing anything off a preview was pretty fuckin' stupid.

Title characters mostly. Having their name in the title definitely helps make them memorable.
