And before that people paid for Honor Points and PVP titles. It's the PVP version of buying gold or paying for someone to power level you. |

It's probably harder work than a real job, TBH. I don't understand how anyone can reach the level cap and maintain a sociable existence. |

Fuck you, troll-cunt. *
Getting to the level cap? That's easy. It's all the crap that people seem to feel they need to do when they get there - farming Heroics for epic gear, then researching raids, then farming items to make items that will help you farm items and then, maybe two-three weeks after you hit 80... You might be able to make a tentative shot at possibly wiping on the first boss of a raid so you can see their attacks in action. Or you can make a new character and do the fun bits again. Or RP. Or play another game. *Yes, I reported him too, and this post will probably get me reported by planty of people too, but I'm fucking sick of the constant "LULZ! WORCRAFT IS TEH SHIT, I R KWEL NAO!" that comes on this site. Hating Warcraft doesn't make you cool, kiddies - only by not posting shite can you be cool. |

I think it's supposed to be a joke. In which case it's pretty funny - not laugh out loud but it gave me a smile. If it is serious though... Wow. Ha, look what I did there. |

Lol, I have an 80 with pretty good gear, I occasionally raid and maybe put up to 5 hours into the game a week... And I have a girlfriend. And quite a few friends, only some of which play WoW. Oh, and I am not a virgin, to throw that one out there. I hereby declare war on any instant WoW hater, Claiming that its just "Shit" or words to the effect of is stupid. Sometimes MMO's aint for you, and tahts grand, but you shouldent simply bash them cause you think you are too "Mature" or something to play WoW. Instantly hating WoW is up there with instantly hating a warhammer collector, its a mild form of idiocy. Try not to be so judgemental. |

Actually: http://i13.tinypic.com/42tdfgl.jpg It is pretty insane. That being said, i play WOW.. I have a wife and 2 kids.. I used to subscribe to the whole "I would never pay a monthly fee for a game", but when i finally went to buy it (bunch of old college buddies were hassling me to get into it) the guy at the store told me "it will actually save you money in the long run, because honestly once you start playing this is the ONLY thing you'll play"...He was right... In the long run, this is actually SAVING me money, only paying 14 bucks a month. |

I never thought of it that way. But, now that you mention it. I haven't bought a console game in over 7 months. And I've only paid for 3 months of wow. But, for the players who want even more of an enjoyable game. You're probably going to buy Burning Crusade for (about) $19.99-$29.99 and Lich King which is still $40 over here. Plus the actual game of course ($20). |

Don't get me wrong, I love the game. I've tried a bunch of MMOs and the fact is that WoW is the best designed (gameplay and art), the most versatile, the most scaleable, and the most visually distinctive. It's just it'd take me my entire life to reach level 80. And I don't have a girlfriend. |
